Almost all usenet providers take down Fringe and Big Bang with a vengeance afaik. I haven't found one which won't do it (looking through forums).

Man wtf is the world coming to! Smile LOL. Here in the UK we are only 4 weeks behind the US, so I guess I'll have to switch to remembering to watch it live... which is a shame cos I'll probably forget.

Funny thing is, I pay for access to the channel it's on in UK, so not being able to download it just makes it less likely I'll actually watch the show.

I wonder how much popularity will be lost for US shows once they're all completely dead...

Some people don't like that. Many times were I slagged off at private LAN parties when we had a DC++ hub and I refused to have "proper" indexing in the shape of RAR archives. :<
Good times.

yup, same here. Even though i also prefer if possible to unpack it on my own to be sure the file is as it should.

semi related. Is it actually still worth giving them money? The last couple of weeks I've had more and more stuff that I couldn't get anymore because astraweb sucks the industry's dick now and removed it... :/

edit:
welp, doesn't matter. They cancelled my account because I was using 2CheckOut and they no longer use it. The only thing I could do is use paypal but even then I'd need a credit card.
Guess that's it for me in regards to usenet for now.

so all these cancellations are because they switched payment method. CO2 didn't charge as often as they'd like. Laughing
