The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

I hope that you end up with a job you love doing and not something that makes you want to jump off a bridge or something.

bs. it's cause your economy is in the shitter.
last year of school = experience.

i fucking hate it when jobs are asking for experience and then in the first 3 months they teach your their system and you have to 'ignore' the past 3+ years of experience you had because they work 'differently' than other business. bitches you work the same you just have a disorganized work-flow. fuck off. laid back my ass.

yep here in the uk i was fortunate at the time i graduated, at 35 i have 12 years industry experience in the field that i work. However when i graduated most of the grad managers jobs where asking for any degree 2:1 and above. Now you need to have a first in a decent engineering degree or science to get a job as a manger in distribution. And that's after the recruitment freeze has finished that many company's are doing and no sign of that yet in the UK.

I work for a multi billion dollar company that has just released a sizeable % of its workforce globally and locally and the message is we will lose another 4% in the next five years (mainly through attrition and not backfilling)

The sad thing is that the kids who leave school with nothing think they will work at ASDA on the tills will be competing with graduates who cant find decent work

All of this competing for jobs inevitably results in lower salaries which i'm also seeing evidence of, why pay an older employee 40,000 euros a year when you can make the position redundant and split the work up and pay someone 22,000 euros

Pretty grim
