What is the BEST aa method with amd 7870 card?
That is reasonable.
8x supersampling eats everything/
I guess taht ati's msaa and edge detect are useless crap right ?
So is it just best to use pure 2x/4x/8x multisample or adaptive multisample aa?
Perhaps combined with smaa

No game is without faults, but it comes down the % of good vs bad textures. Mirror's Edge has a very good artistic direction, but as with most if not all UE3 games, textures are very low. From your last batch, look at the wall, desk and horrible elevator button textures and frame.
Crysis 1 has good textures. Not all are perfect, but they are very high quality, and the way they are mixed is very well done. This is not true with Crysis 2. I wonder why.

Too little, too late. It should not have taken a fucking texture pack and patch, especially not since they had such a big mouth about it all before release. And with the patch it's still not the gem -technologically speaking..mostly- the original was. CE3 certainly is capable of it, no doubt about that, but Crysis 2 is not the product that shows that off. |

though i remember the whole tomb raider 2 venice demo like i played it yesterday

@KillerCrocker : TRL did age well, but the PS3 version looks nicer (except for the 1280x720 resolution), has better lightning and less plastic Lara. It came out only last year though, so that is kind of cheating The PC version did run quite well (60fps) on shitty PC after the 1.2 Patch (else it was a slideshow).
Same goes for Tomb Raider Anniversary, the PS3 version is the nicest of all, if you can get over the fact it runs at 35 fps and in 1280x720...

New Vegas looks horrible when compared to FO3? 
Aside from the desert theme it's pretty much the same game.

Much more detailed yes, more alive... not really, at least for me OFC.
Still don't think it looks much better than NV but ok.

Kind of contradict what I said. But Capital Wasteland sill amazes me. The trench deep in the city, all the metro station, Each settlement is different. NV unfortunately relies heavily on Vegas area, anything else is bland.
