Playing a bit with the new patch. The detection when going in suit only is a bit more lenient now. They still haven't fixed the spotted bug (the sound plays almost all the way through, you don't actually get detected, but it counts in the score screen). It happens less frequently on Purist now though.

Wow, just finished the "Shaving Lenny" chapter with the "Streets of Hope" and the barbershop levels. Definitely the best part of the game so far, and a most welcome change after that shitload of awful linear levels Very Happy

Btw, completed the chapter with a Silent Assassin rating Fuck Yeah though I admit it wasn't the hardest to do in the game.

I can do it suit only just like I did most of the previous levels, but I just got fed up of pure stealthing, I wanted to have some disguise fun, which is certainly working better after the patch. I don't play in Purist mode like you do however, playing on Expert so I would hardly get scores as high as yours Very Happy

Suit only is a bit too tedious for me. Playing stoned on purist is challenging enough

@Frolsa84: The only person on YouTube who is probably on the same level with you is prenatual. His speed-runs are fuckin' epic. I gave up on Purist difficulty as soon as I reached the Orphanage chapter, as it was turning out to be extremely time consuming and with the amount of backlog I have, I wouldn't be able to devote as much time to it. But you guys really raise the stealth bar quite high. Smile

I managed to reach the hippie den on purist just with the suit. it took a lot of retries and waiting for guard routes but was fun. what an awesome level. straight out of a movie Mr. Green

Its great that the game can be played like old hitmans with much less effective disguises. and it can be played like splinter cell or even thief.

and they even gave us purist so no one can complain about derpification.

and graphics are amazing. even on a gtx 260, the game looks fabulous. I can't even imagine on newer gpu's.

Not dissapointed so far.

Running Vista SP2, getting the DirectX 11 error at startup. None of the supposed fixes work.

Anyone able to shed any light on this problem?

So in order to get the trainer to work, somebody suggested:

Quote:
change the local cvar to 0x010BDAD0 if you know how to, similar to CE table

Can anybody explain? I cannot play this game without the trainer Ive gotten too comfortable with it

That must be the address that the trainer injects it's code to and this is the new value for this latest patch / exe file.
(I've very little experience with this type of thing so I am not quite sure how to use it.)

this took me a while on purist. You pretty much need to know guard routes perfectly without using throwables. some sections i replayed sooo many times, probably more then dark souls lol. Very Happy

Yeah, unfortunately that chapter contains some of the worst levels of the game. I did them all suit only and undetected though, that's where I got fed up of pure stealthing and decided to start using the disguises which I found are working a lot better than before he patch Very Happy

I finished the Dexter Industries chapter last night and some of the awful linearity was back after the wonderful "Hope" levels, however, there were some excellent open levels like the main building entrance area, the research facility and the arena warehouse. I'm getting ready to evade/terminate the saints today.

Great visuals, shit game

I didn't really question the 'logic' in previous games since it all worked.
Here everything is all over the place, some shit doesn't make any sense..

In the next Hitman Agent 47 retires and you play as the girl. Hes your mentor now and you can play 3 original Hitman missions in flashback sections, the rest is linear and cinematic and character driven.

Wow, I just finished Attack of the Saints. much better than what those early trailers made you think Very Happy I have to admit the levels (and the game in general) seem to be getting much better as it advances toward the conclusion (that cornfield Me Gusta ), and the next level (courthouse) looks promising. Fingers crossed.

Hahaha, well so far I've used firearms in only one level. In almost evey Hitman game I've chosen one level to go guns blazing. Back in Hitman 2 it was the malaysian hacker's apartment, the one with the jaccuzzi and the hot female bodyguards in bikinis Very Happy. I can't remember which level it was in Blood Money, I think I only used sniper rifles in a couple of missions in that one. In Codename 47 it was "Say hello to my little friend" Razz

The Courthouse and Blackwater park (ground floor) are the last well populated levels that have that Hitman feel, but you dont have any targets. I also liked the part with the Samurai armor. Rest of the final third is more evasive stealth again. Thinking back Hitman 5 resembles the 2nd game the most but at least that one also had some really big free-roaming levels. (India, Party etc.)

I agree. This one is more similar to Hitman 2 (my favourite) than any other game in the series. And yes, Hitman 2 is still better for the reason you mentioned among others.

Lol I think played this too much, when closing my eyes I can replay almost every single level of the game down to the smallest details. (guards paths, objects locations, dialogue triggers etc.) Better than counting sheep.

And this is missing the first 20 hours I played, because after the first patch I started from a blank save file. Razz
