Nice! launched the game after getting the DLC and got the SMS from Inspector Tren with instructions to take the boat to the tournament island. But first I needed to attend the Dojo in North Point for a little training. I had already forgotten many of the combos and special movements Very Happy

Someone report back with an average playtime on that tournament DLC please Very Happy. I'm very pessimistic/jaded about spending $5 given how all the other "DLC's" for this game have been an absolute money-grab with no player value whatsoever.

playtime is a short, maybe 1 hour and its very straightforward
there are 5 little tournaments and some story bits and its very easy if you have a fully leveled up character
10 statues to collect on the small island that give you a spoken line about the fighting style is represents, nothing else
they could have done more with this

Well, the only $5 DLC I've bought for this game is the Nightmare in North Point one and it gave me 3 hours worh of fighting gameplay. So I say it was very well worth that price Razz

We'll see about this one as I haven't started it yet, but the main reason I bought it without giving a second thought is that it's fighting oriented as well Smile

It's disappointing. Really short, no real tough fights (especially if you unlocked the last triad fighting move), doesn't really feel like a tournament - just a bunch of fight club challenges put together. I still have not found all the statues so I can't comment on how fun the unlocks are.

Hmm I thought it would work via the DLC menu(Thus you get a pre-made character like with Nightmare in Northpoint instead of your fully developed one.), interesting that it's added to the main game this time. Smile

It's so annoying when there are these huge updates for silly future DLCs that we've never asked for Laughing

Well if the update was for a DLC I wouldn't mind, but as far as I know there's no DLC announced for the next weeks or so, hence this must be exclusively bug fixes and who knows what else Razz

It would be better if they had the updates in a separate archive much like the HD texture pack, same for the DLC actually but instead most of the game data gets updated every time the game is patched.

EDIT: http://steamcommunity.com/app/202170/discussions/0/828925849142108136/#c828925849143450197
• Potential fixes for vsync and fullscreen “stutter” performance issues
• Fixed an issue with stuttering and low-framerate at the start of a police chase
• New option in the displaysettings.xml to adjust the number of smoothing frames <TimeStepSmoothingFrames> (default 5)

I can confirm this update removed some annoying micro-stuttering I experienced since game release. Other people in the official forums confirm this.
