I couldn't find the thread for this show so:
Anyways what did everybody think of tonights episode (S08E11)?
I loved it. Finally things are back on track

I started watching from Season 1 this summer and really got into it. Its a pretty decent sitcom actually

It does have a Friends vibe to it. Its not as funny as Friends but the overall story line is quite addicting
I want to know who the mother is already!

I can't agree on that. Friends is a typical easy going sitcom, HIMYM tries to be deeper with a message of each episode, while still being sort of funny.

This and Big Bang Theory are the only sitcoms that are worth watching at the moment IMO. Also many of you in this forum use HIMYM memes but you dont even watch the show?

I sick of the mostly American comedy shows that always tend to have people sitting in a couch or in a bar. It's been done since the 70'ies and the couch thing has become a joke in itself (simpsons & family guy).

there is absolutely no point in seeing who the mother is. Its just some random chick we've never seen (besides the yellow umbrella). No reason for anything to ever see that chick.

This is one of the most dragged out series I have ever seen. It had soul for four seasons max, so halfway through S5 I said "fuck you and your fucking wife" and stopped watching.

I agree. I enjoyed it for the first few seasons, and then it just turned pretty bad. I still watch it, but primarily because there isn't much else to choose from, and I want to finish watching to the end since I got this far.

Yep and also at some point you've seen too much of it and the jokes do not work anymore like they used to in the beginning.

I was completely oblivious to this show a few years ago...
Girlfriend basically forced me to start watching it with her since she owns all the dvd's and now we are now halfway through season 5, I can see now that I will start hating the show.
There were some very good episodes, very funny ones.... you know the ones that don't fucking revolve around robin/ted or robin/barney BS. But now it seems like it's EVERY DAMN EPISODE, and it's getting tiring. Like I said only upto season 5 now, but if this shit goes on for the rest of the show, I do not want to watch it. I thought the show was called how I met your mother not how I dated/fucked robin.
$20 says the mother actually ends up being a guy cause after many failed dating attempts/relationships ted says fuck it and becomes gay, adopts kids and happily ever after.

Never got into this show as I cant stand the guy in the lead and also the blond guy from starship troopers who acts like a really bad kramer type character.
Many episodes are a mess, jumping back and forth in time. Dont really understand why so many people watch this. Maybe its because the main chick is smoking hot...
Dont mess with God, he can impregnate your girlfriend/wife without taking his pants off!

I agree completely, the show was very entertaining at first, but then the lack of new ideas made it stagnant to the point that even I stopped watching it. It's a shame.  |

Unless the mother is a tranny, she is a woman. We've seen her legs a couple of times. |
The mother of Ted's children is Ted's mother. So his kids are also his siblings. That's the only rational and logical outcome as long as taxes are considered robbery.

I think this will be the final season. Seeing how everybody is now settled except for Ted. There is still over 10 episodes left this season so plenty of time to finally establish how the mother was met

Season 8 is pretty boring expect last episode which was okay..They are dragging it very much.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Hmmm just like Friends was in the end. I loved the series for a long time but in the last two seasons I was mostly bored by each new episode. It's hard for a sitcom to achieve what Seinfeld did. Ending on a very high note, arguably the highest during its eight year long run.
