The E.E. edition is by far better than the vanilla, mods included.

I'm waiting for this game to appear on Steam so I can snatch it and finally play it (it already appeared in the CDR database). Though I'm not sure if it will be the regular or this EE edition.

Same goes for Planescape Torment.

They'd probably screw up and end up being embarassed by Dragon Age Smile

One does not simply make BG3.

It feels way better in my big screen,, zoom is essential, runs fluid and overall their new version of infinity engine feels way better than the ancient one in GOGs vertion.

What's zoom essential for? It adds nothing to the gameplay, nor does it help, it's a tacked on feature for tablets

It runs fluid in any old version too, if you don't use the default engine

Some of you are trying way too hard

It really isn't a huge addition, but I find it helpful in certain situations.
Max zoom-out is quite useful when exploring larger outdoor areas and I use zoom-in for indoor areas as they are designed for low resolutions. It helps, but man I really forgot how badly designed some dungeons in bg1 are. Passages are way to small, getting six characters through a small corridor is absolutely painful.

It uses your desktop's resolution. Also, if you want to remove the scaling you can edit your ini with : 'Graphics', 'Scale UI', '0',
The ini is found in Documents - > Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition

So just finished BG EE - it crashed the first time at the end scene! But second win was fine.

Anyone know if character/item importing is better now from the EE version?

Big world Mod is one exe and you choose what all to install. It does all the work for you.
Can't help with the installing of the game bit though.

Big world also has a fucked up xp cap, so have fun playing easy mode in bg1 and bg2.

There's no solid release date for the Android version at the moment. They were hoping to release it before the new year, but it looks like they decided to push it back a little while they focus on patching the current versions.
My personal guess is that its gonna be somewhere between mid-January to mid-February for Android.

Doesn't matter, original updates only modified existing files. Theta(xdelta) patches them in the same way, Skidrow provides full updated files. The game itself (both skidrow and thete)is not 1.8 GB+700MB, but still 1.8 GB.

George Ziets, Creative Lead on Obsidian's Mask of the Betrayer, has been asked on Formspring about his ideas for a BG3 game. Here's his take on how the game could have begun, hypothetically speaking that is:

That actually doesn't sound half-bad, although I wasn't overly fussed on the MoTB spirit eater gimmick myself, and it sounds like a rehash of that idea to a degree. Plus, it assumes that the Bhaalspawn chose ascension at the end of TOB. You can choose not to do so. I guess that would be another one of those scenarios where previous player choice would be discarded in favour of a developer's preferred retconned canon. Not that it matters I guess, this all being hypothetical. In the (hopefully) unlikely event that Oster and friends get the greenlight on BG3, I don't even want to think about what they'll come up with.
