So after a lot of snowfall it finally started to melt, but then last night we had fucking freezing rain falling all evening, which made my gutters and roof, and pretty much everything else encased in ice and it also made the snow wet so it weighted a ton. So, since it was melting, it couldn't drain from the roof, so it started leaking inside the attic and then into the corner of my fucking room. So we had to climb up on the roof, destroy all the ice and clean the gutters, otherwise I'd have a mini Niagara falls in my room. So yeah, FUCK winter and FUCK snow. Piece of crap.

Yeah, when the first snow fell, it turned out that the guy who did the gutters didn't seal anything as he should, so it leaked into my parents room -.-" (we did the roof last year)
Needles to say I had to go up on the roof (I have a terrible fear of heights) and had to seal that part he forgot -.-"
But other than that I love winter  xD

Coldest temperature I've ever experienced was -46, it was during my military service (we were out in the field) ... it humbles your homophobic nature since we were sleeping in a tent.

I've had to deal with polar temperatures too a couple of years ago in the Alps (-40-ish), but fortunately the Ski suit did its job just fine. I definitely can't say the same about the gloves + skull cap combo though..almost useless xD |

Actually, I remember watching a documentary about some 'organic' houses in Swiss. Some guy made them using only wood and glass as his material, and he used solar and geothermal energy for heating and everything. They were really efficient and nice looking, but were expensive as fuck
