My current one, been using this for about a year now(started using it a while after i got my current screen setup)

Screens are aligned as in the screenshot. 16:9 22 incher as main screen, and behind above it a 19 inch 4:3.

will be using this setup a long time to come, really love it. First time i really used any of those widget thingy's. Still not a huge fan of them but they server their purpose I guess. just annoys me that i still need all the actual software to have the widgets working, would like an all in one package.

Haven't done much since the last time since I really love my current desktop. I did tweak the colors and the tools I use a bit. I also changed the wallpaper a few times, but now it looks like this:

I'll have to see what problems this theme has when I change to a 16:9 monitor and fix them if they exist, but I'll keep this one for a long time I think.

New monitor (fucking finally!), which meant I had to tweak my theme a bit to get it right on this aspect ratio, but it was quite easy. It looks like this at the moment:

Yeah, because Windows 7 doesn't boot fast from an SSD at all. Pretty sure that from bootloader to desktop it takes me less than 10 seconds (fucking POST takes longer than the rest of the boot) Rolling Eyes

I wouldn't use the Windows 8 crap, why would I upgrade?

My OS boots in less than 10 sec. The only thing that takes actual time is BIOS POST. And I'm running Win7 x64 off my OCZ Vertex4.

Fuck W8 ie. Wait (for next version).

In what way? Do you use Metro? Or have you simply turned it into Win7 with third party apps?

I don't use metro more than I need to on my desktop PC... but I use it a lot on the Win8 tablet. Search function is hated by lots of people, but I think its nice it catogorizes your search. And all the things you need pop up when you press (windows button + x)

Its just faster and better. Its got everything Win7 does and more (yeah yeah, except that stupid start button )

Oh well, opinions vary. I don't see the use for a tablet/smartphone OS on a Desktop PC.

I reboot my homecomputer when theres updates, other than that it's running 24/7. The few extra seconds I can gain from windows 8, doesn't outweigh all the headache the OS otherwise causes.
Add to that the fact that I don't like appstores like the one thats been integrated into the OS, for many different reasons I'm sure have already been stated.
