Every year since I was a kid (and thats atleast 35 years) they've been showing this cartoon on Swedish telly. It's kind of a tradition.

Now SVT (Swedish channel who usually show it) have decided to remove parts of it due to stereotyping.

Check this swedish url (and go through the pictures) to see what characters have been removed (They also removed the ants that Donald fight towards in another cartoon).

I was really offended today! I ordered a burger at Max Hamburgare in Sweden... and the guy told me the burger contained bacon, and asked me if it was ok...

j/k about the offended part tho, but I get the feeling some muslim guy have ordered something at a swedish fast food chain and sued them because he ate bacon without knowing it

I don't care about anyone having different opinions. That's how it is. I do care when people get basically attacked for having an opinion. That's just bullshit.

But if someone voices his opinion it's an invite to others to criticise that opinion or throw their own opinions into the mix. That's what debates are. It's actually exactly what just happened when I replied to your post.

It was the way it was done. I would think you would be more reasonable than this Frant, but i guess when we defend people we like or care about those values go out the door.

yeah, it's the new HD version from Disney that has this removed and I guess this will be the same for all Nordic countries when/if they switch to the HD version. In Norway however, that black doll has already been gone for years. They did keep the jew however Very Happy
