As the tiles says, please help me not getting conned as I try to buy a 2nd hand console. The exchange will happen face to face, but I'm still afraid I might get conned.
After all, the console may look good turned off but when I arrive home and go test drive it, for all I know it can blowup and burn my house down.
Should I ask him to my house, so that I can actually see if it works? It would surely sound awkward no? Should I try to only pay him like half, try the console, and only then pay him the other half? Or should I just punch him in the throat and run with it?
So, guys please, any tips to help me deal with this situation?

Go to his place and have him show you how it works. Then buy it.

(I mean buying a console )
No seriously, I would definitely test it first, there's no doubt about that. It's not a matter of lack of trust, it's just that there are so many nifty scammers around that it's always better to be completely safe. No try no buy!

Sounds like no choice at all. Of course you go with the PC.

When I bought my current PC last year I basically invested the 90% of my savings on it.. but I must say that it was a fantastic decision. For the masterrace! xD
