We're just going to go ahead and rate our current happiness out of 10. I want to see how everyone is doing. LET'S FUCKING DO THIS. I'll start.

sTo0z? - 7/10

We can also get into it if we want.

So. A 7 you say? I sure do. Basically, I'm really into this girl, things have been amazing. But I have this crazy job offer. But if I take it, this girl and I are done, no way it can work. But she's been so amazing so far... But in general, pretty happy. But I'll be like a 9/10 if I can figure this out. Life is going pretty nice right now.

Let's hear it gentlemen. Give me your happiness level out of 10.

5/10 for me.

I'm a miserable, pessimistic bastard. I live a comfortable enough life, for now, but when the time's up, I'm more or less fucked. I accept this for what it is and don't care to do anything about it.

Pretty much this. Things could be so much better, but could also be so much worse... Smile

So I guess it's 5/10 for me too.

Awesome girlfriend. Great friends. Excellent health. Started working out. Could use more money, though.

5/10 - health problems, stupid and lazy cooworkers, family problems, not enough free time. On the other side, some great friends and I can't really complain about money.

6/10

Recently out of a relationship that never worked, and we stopped being friends - because that didn't work either. Just moved to a house (private renting) - and though that's nice, it takes 50 minutes to get to work where it used to take 20 minutes - and it's very cold and dark around here at the moment. Feels a bit lonely now - and even though I have good friends, they're all pretty far away.

I'm working out again, but there's still a few months of work before I'm in decent shape again. I know I'll get there - and I know I'll start dating again, but after two failed long-term relationships in a row, I'm starting to doubt whether it's going to happen for me. I'm all about long-term, and I wouldn't want to live life alone or without a person to share it with.

I have a good job with lots of freedom and a reasonable income - but it's not exciting, and I'm not really using any of my talents. I don't feel like I'm making an actual difference - beyond being competent at what I do. Sure, I help people and solve a lot of problems - but it seems so insignificant.

I'm very close to my family - especially my parents, but they're getting quite old - and I can't deny that time is limited. That inevitable future scenario is on my mind more than it should be.

I know things aren't that bad - and I know they'll get a lot better, more than likely. I just don't have the kind of optimism about it that I should have. I don't feel it. I know I'm not depressed, because I know what that's like - I'm just really "meh" about life these days. I'm 36 years old - and I feel like I should be more alive and enjoy things a lot more - but I suppose I'm a pessimist by nature.

Oh well....

8/10 for me

Pretty happy about where I am in life right now. Steady job, decent source of income every week, no financial difficulties, recently moved in with girlfriend and planning on getting married within the next year. Things are good. Have a few close friends whom I don't really see very often (growing up sucks). But ya things are good, no complaints here...

Only thing that would make it a 10/10 is owning my own house, and possibly getting a small raise at my job.

Downranked by two points for these two reasons -

-Making OK money but not doing work that I actually want to do

-Never above a 9/10 unless i'm on vacation somewhere tropical on a beach

- I'm pretty much completely broke since I got a new house (6K euros didn't cut it, fuck me).
- I've got a temp job since economy is down the shitter (good time to finish uni!) and the academic world sucks ass.
- I'm trying to get my fiancees visa accepted (apparently both sides being mature and highly educated doesn't mean shit, much easier to throw everyone on the same pile).
- the monotony of life is killing me (finished uni now on to a job in which I'll do the same shit!).

I guess it would be a 6,5/10 : being optimistic and healthy are the elements that are keeping me afloat and relatively happy since everything else is going to the dogs.

In short: it could be much better but I don't have the impulse to be angry yet. Razz

Well, let's see, starting from 10:

10/10

-1 Working, even though work can be a lot of fun and something to do it still is doing what someone else wants the way they want to. I don't like that. But it's only a -1 because I have a good job.

-1 Being underpaid, payment is the substitute for appreciation for your work, if you get both that's awesome. Being underpaid is like not saying "Well, we appreciate what you do so here's some money instead".

-1 Winter and cold, fuck being cold, my moped not starting, and freezing my ass off

-1 Having no money, basically I live my life on a negative budget. Not because of credit cards, but because of being the only income provider in the household.

+1 GF, she's amazing

-1 Lack of energy, having ideas and no energy fucking sucks.

so, about 6/10

Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.
