That's just the voice actress, not necessarily the face model (if there even was one).

The one from right hand, hmm might have something with having the...legit game maybe? Only thing that miss right now is having all the relics. Everything else is done.

just finished the game. i loved the choppa ride, it was hilarious, but i still think the characters were kinda silly... i mean
Spoiler: | why kidnap his friends? he had already CHOSEN to stay on the island, and leave behind his life, so why kidnap them? clearly its just a plot device, but in terms of the narrative, its dumb. |
also, now that ive finished it, i still didnt see how they were douchebags as everyone is claiming... yeah some come from wealthy backgrounds, but i never saw anything there that made them out to be particularly asshole'ish or whatever... theyre just some people who were having fun....

The dumbest part for me was at the start where they look at the map.
I mean seriously. Didn't even bother taking a look around to make sure it was safe?
Let's go talk aloud and discuss things and look at this map here because it looks like an ok place to look at maps

I just finished the game. I really enjoyed it, however I can't help thinking that it was a bit of wasted potential. I have to give Ubisoft that they delivered an impressive world, really vast and beautiful, filled with all sorts of plants and animals, the game was at times extremely immersive at least for me. However, they didn't manage to take full advantage of that rich world in terms of combining it with the gameplay. It's right there where I see the wasted potential. The fact that there's not much to do after clearing the enemy outposts and completing the missions is a real shame. I however loved some of the random encounters and skirmishes you crossed paths with, but they still were very scarce. The secondary missions were too simple and boring for the most part.
In the end I have to admit that the graphics were pretty good, especially considering the size of the open world. I managed to take some of the most beautiful screenshots I've ever captured in a video game. The music was mostly crap, though I admit I liked a couple of tunes in some of the main missions and I particularly loved the ending song.
The story was ok, nothing award-winning but I liked the idea of the journey the main character went through. The characters were nothing special in general except for maybe Vaas and Sam?. I chose the "good" ending, and after hearing about the "bad" ending I'm glad I did so
All in all, an enjoyable game but definitely not in my top 5 this year. I hope Ubisoft learns from this game, and use their open world-designing skills to come out with an even greater title in the future. When I start imagining what they could have accomplished with the wonderful Rook islands in terms of gameplay I kinda experience some nice warm feeling, but then I realize that it didn't really materialize.
My score: 84/100

I think it was a bit big for my liking. I mean, take skyrim for example. Different climates and varied places in general, but here? not so much. I was pretty tired after taking out 34 camps and 18 towers. maybe i would have liked the world better if as you say they had incorporated it a bit more in the gameplay. I just felt it was unnecessarily big, and there was no wow factor in the game at all. I enjoyed the story immensely, but that was it.

i LOVED the hidden temple shit under the island. pity it was story based, how cool would it have been if there were more hidden places like that to explore? ditto for the jap research base... rather than just caves i would have loved to have had a sub-layer to the island, full of stuff to explore.

game folds its arms and tell me it wont 'tolerate it', and i respawn
the fuck is that about? im allowed to kill hundreds of guys, but only if they happen to wear the right coloured top?! IM ON A LAWLESS ISLAND WHERE I AM GOD, AND ALL BOW BENEATH MY MIGHTINESS... who the hell is this 'law' telling me who i can and can not kill?! especially when the natives and the rebels are more annoying than the pirates and privateers...

I think that is the problem of the gameplay not dynamic and varies enough. I would think the game would have benefit more if it was more survival and less CoD.
Spoiler: | The last 3 missions were just silly. I had fun, it was not bad, but I was having a blast laughing at how stupid everything was. Vaas was cool at first, but just like Hoult, they feel too easy to take down. And I don't mean hard to kill gameplay-wise, but the length and hardship to get to them is not there. Jason is just too monstrous that I don't feel like they were the crazy villains anymore. The fact that none of your friends die makes Vaas and Hoult look like idiots, not scary or threaten at all. When Sam died, all I was thinking was how predictable that was, then Citra captures your friends, again insanely predictable. I lost all the immersion I had at the first few hours. |
Overall still a great game though, I would probably mod the game once they identify all the setting files.

If Ubisoft are interested in milking everything from this, they should make a DLC where you play as Vaas before Brody and his douchebag friends show up. Like, to show how Vaas became to be what he is, what happened with Citra, etc. Though it's hard for me to see that happening with Vaas requiring all the voice acting from that guy, I'd love to play as Vaas, he is the real star of the game IMO.

The thing that I like about this game is unpredictable "bugs" or events. Maybe tired with overscripted shit that hits us regularly this things can be frustrating but also very funny. Can't forget scene where I had to knife down some commander(usual shit) and while I was sneaking and planning right approach, jeep full of pirates smash into control point killing 2 soldiers and a dog, or a immerse gunfight at a farm interrupted by horde of hungry komodo dragons...

Nice, I still left a bunch of things to do after finishing the main story. I know most of those will be boring but it'll be an excuse good enough to test those UI tweaks.

I started to think about a quote that pissed me off because it sounded super ridiculous. "welcome to science fair motherfucker" or something like that. What the fucking hell does that mean?

It means they needed something cool to say just for the fuck of it, like "Yeepie-ka-yay motherfucker!".
