Basically the ball and chain/Wife/Twat/ (insert derogatory name here) is getting me a game for "Christmas" ..
I have a choice of either Far Cry 3 or Assassins Creed 3 ...
Basically I like both Franchises .. I'm leaning towards Far Cry 3 as many people have mentioned AC3 is more or less one massive tutorial/Cut scene ..blah blah were as Far Cry seems a hell of a lot more open and story driven..
My main focus is longevity and gameplay.. not fussed about being a graphics whore ..
So hopefully people who have played both can give some sort of comment as to which is the better buy..

Far Cry 3 the new AC is rubbish so overrated even my dad said it was borring same missions over and over.

I really enjoyed and finished AC3, but Farcry 3 if i had to choose without a doubt.

It is a hard choice but I would probably choose Far Cry 3, a lot of people say after they finish the missions there isn't any replay-ability though.

I`m a huge fan of the Assassion Creed series but I found AC3 way less better then AC2 and Brotherhood and Revalations so I would if I was you I would go for Far Cry 3.
AC3 was good tho but the others where slight better in my opinion.

Yeah, I wouldn't say I disliked AC3, but there were a bunch of parts where I just wished they were over with, and frankly, the ending was just all kinds of bad. FC3 on the other hand, I'm having a blast with, often finding that I ignore the missions for all the other wacky stuff you can do on the island.

FC3 it's just way more fun than AC3.

Far cry 3 all the way.
Its a completly new story, no connection to FC1, or FC2.
Of course if you prefer 3rd person over 1st person then go with AC3!
