Got tired of running the same path a gazilion of times. Slaying huge ass monsters just to die from a mob I have killed a gazilion times before on levels as low as 1...enemy scaling is as bad as rubberband ai in racing games.
Quick travel was probably around the corner as well...Maybe then the game wouldnt feel like a chore.
Are there any plans to release patches for teh PS3 version? From reading forums, it seems like the game is completely unplayable. Or is that an exaggeration due to nerdrage?
I bought the PS3 version. No issues at all. Doesnt need patching if you ask me.
i dont think anyone could play this on ps3, the framerate is like amiga 3d studio
WTF man that is harsh. Ive been playing for over 10 hours on PS3. No complaints here.
No real problems here either
I only really see some slowdown when I try to sprint all the time, leaving Gran Soren from the main gates I can get to the bonfire before the bandits load, which is weird but that's probably more of a streaming issue
There may be some occasional slowdown in big battles but there's usually so much going on I don't even notice
Capcom has announced Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, a "major expansion" to its mythical beast-slaying role-player.
Dark Arisen will arrive sometime next year for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
No other details were given, except that players will be able to carry save data over to the expansion.
In the meantime, Capcom is set to release new Speedrun and Hard mode options to the main Dragon's Dogma quest via free DLC.
played it for like 80 hours on ps3 and it was fine.
good news on the expansion. I don't wanna wait like 3 years for the sequel... not with nothing in between anyway
DD is one of my top10 favourite games of this console generation.
Likot Mosuskekim, Woodcutter cancels Sleep: Interrupted by Elephant.
Anyone had a Bad disk error on this one? I have already burned two disks both of them 100% successful (that's what ing burn say) and on both of them I get the same error. However I have also burned other games and they are all working fine.
I haven't lost my mind. I know exactly where I left it.
Just finished it with a lvl 42 warrior (or so i think as i killed the dragon and got my heart back); how the hell do i see how much time have i played ?!
Edit: oh nvm, there's more, how far into the game am i ?
Edit: nvm now i really finished it

did you patch through abgx? if i remember correctly, it needed topology data.
Just know what you're getting into. The game is great, but it has it's flaws; the bland-boring world, where it's a chore to go out on exploration and little to no incentive to do so, is what's holding the game back the most.
Still a great game and an ambitious start for a franchise. Definitively looking forward to the DLC and future sequel.
give me the dlc NOW! dark arisen and dead island riptide are my most wanted games i can think off.. its all about the gameplay.. i mean dragon's dogma runs bad on 360.. and also don't looks so good but oh man it has such an amazing combat and great world, i'm happy it doesn't have a fast travel.. the world is so good that i didn't even used my ferrystones, it's so great to suddenly be in night and all dark.. amazing game.
just give me more of this, in full screen (no black bars) and no screen tearing and it will be perfect
Dark Arisen release date: 23-26 April 2013
PS3 - physical / digital
X360 - physical / digital (digital as Games on Demand later this summer)
- It has all the content from the original but with improvements from the expansion, and the expansion itself is there of course.
- Has save import from the original.
- Optional Japanese voices
- Crapcom is STILL giving us fake full 16:9 AR screenshots and smooth framerate trailers while the game is like 16:7 and runs like shit (I don't think Dark Arisen will run any better, but it's just a "guess"). This so needs a PC version.
PRESS RELEASE
Spoiler:
Following the announcement of Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen last year, we are now pleased to confirm concrete details about this expansion to the world of Dragon’s Dogma. Scheduled for release on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 from April 23 in North America and April 26 across Europe, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is the next exciting chapter in the Dragon’s Dogma franchise. Available as both a physical disc and a full game digital download, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen delivers a huge brand new area, missions, enemies and more, plus all of the content from the original game.
Just off the Gransys mainland is the cursed Bitterblack Isle where gamers will embark on an all-new quest to discover an underground realm, complete with new terrifying foes and incredible treasure. Owners of the original Dragon’s Dogma will be able to export their existing characters and all other saved data to continue their journey as the Arisen, and face a new threat that has emerged from the cavernous depths. Players will be able to take their characters to new heights with brand new high-level skills and augments as well as all new weapons and armor sets. Furthermore, owners of the original Dragon’s Dogma will receive 100,000 Rift Crystals, unlimited Ferrystones and the Gransys Armour Pack consisting of six brand new costumes for free, upon purchasing Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen.
For those that missed Dragon’s Dogma the first time around, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen provides the opportunity to start their journey from the very beginning before tackling the all-new content.
Based on player feedback, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen will make the Dragon’s Dogma gameplay experience even more satisfying with improvements such as easier travel and a more intuitive menu system. For those who already own Dragon’s Dogma and then purchase Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, these improvements will be automatically retrofitted to their original game save data.
So, what does Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen deliver?
All of the content from the original Dragon’s Dogma plus…
A massive new underground realm to explore featuring over 25 terrifying new enemies
More skills/equipment/augments:
Level 3 Skills

There's no mention of it being in DLC form sadly. It seems to be an "enhanced" edition, rather than a plain DLC / expansion pack.

I guess this is how they are trying to make up for it.
Been playing it forevah now, levl 121.. Imho, exploration is a big thing in this game, I am still finding new things in the world.. It's on my list of top 5 best games I've ever played.
Why did they never patch the PS3 version? People still complain about lags and technical issues.
its called BUY THIS GAME AGAIN ... Dark Arisen ...
they did the same shit on the PS2 with special editions of popular games
hehe its like with Gothic 2 , this game had so many bugs that this patch became SO BIG they had to recode the whole game and sale it again to had profit from developing this new code... the patch was Gothic 2 GOLD
