Yeah I don't see the point...who plays PC games and doesn't already know how to download drivers and change the in-game options themselves? And if a person is that stupid I doubt they would take the initiative to seek out this Nvidia program and sign up for the beta.

Off cuuurse !

WE know how to set up our games our selves.
But it might be nice for new PC gamers coming from the console derpland.

See, why would you still need a console when on PC :
- you have Steam Big Picture to play your PC games on a couch,
- you have this Geforce Experience thingy to setup your games automatically,
- games are much cheaper,
- you have got those fucking awesome Steam sales !
- and much moarrr

Laughing

Easier transition to PC gaming for console players. Pointless for real PC gamers who know what their PC is capable of.

The entire casual audience whom is also the main targeted demography of these game companies?

I wouldn't be surprised, I like to tinker with settings and such and find things out by myself but I can see this being really popular and without being harmful to the PC like nearly all those other "Optimizer" software whom promises to fix everything. Very Happy
(And still somehow end up being really popular.)

I for one enjoy reading the Optimal Playable Settings they've been releasing. http://www.geforce.com/optimize/optimal-game-settings

And this is the exact same thing, only it shows the settings specifically for your GPU. If it's integrated in the driver pack, it'll be cool.

its a pretty decent thing. I mean, how many non geeks would edit ini files to uncap their framerate?

I know people who don't even go into options. they just fire up the game with the default game selected settings.

I would always have to tweak shit on my bro's PC because he would play games at non native res cause thats what the game set for him. So i can't even imagine the clulesness of people who don't have a PC geek around.

Same card here, but it tells me "optimization impossible" for AC3. Confused
(Using the yarrrrred version...)

Well, it seemed good for the other games it did detect, so i'm guessing it's a bug.

The app supports only the games that are here: http://www.geforce.com/optimize/optimal-game-settings

human_steel is right: there is no such card. Look at the release notes for new drivers, only GTX 680 or 660. No 670, no siree!

I have it, but it doesn't exist Wink
