So I just found out that using bruteforce and spamming the "open origin" button in battlelog kickstarted the download. So Much Win Everything Went Better Than Expected

if you have nvidia install 310.70s that just came out. they have BF3 crash fix (assuming that's the reason you had the crash).

Well, a really good DLC if you ask me. Not too much vehicles and very nice urban combat. And Azadi Palace is just looking gorgeous!

nah, haven't installed that yet. bf3 crash happens every now and then, but its rather rare.

oh and yeah, this dlc kicks ass. The maps are huge, yet not random, i.e. you always know where the fight is etc. Really gorgeous and grand. loving it.

Some great games today, and I am really enjoying this DLC so far. Great urban combat with lots of vertical and horizontal space to play around with. Every section of the map looks like it's a good fit for a gunfight, so you can have some nice close quarters clashes all the time, as opposed to running exposed between kill zones. It seemingly strikes a very good balance between great infantry action and the larger scale combat of classic Battlefield.

Vehicles' role as support for infantry is more apparent here, since engineers can hide behind every rock or in any of the numerous windows.

The orange/brownish palette might get tiring though, especially on that one map - it's like they deliberately put it up against Death Valley Very Happy

Those are my first impressions though. As always, things can turn for the worse as you put mire time into it. It's also a shame they didn't do more with the earthquakes. They have so much potential with the engine, and all they did so far is crash the tower on Caspian and shake the map on Epicenter a little...

This, also won the two scavengers matches that I entered so far Surprised

As for derpDM it's a toss up... some maps are utter campfests, others like talah market are quite fun.

Well, he is right. If previous maps are too blue, the new maps feel like being pissed over.

I don't dislike the contrast between the various maps, with different palettes (it makes them unique), but I must admit that sometimes they just want to destroy our poor eyes Very Happy

We don't play on any specific server. Pop into battlelog around 18-19 and you'll probably see at least one of us playing something.

What's your tag?
