The search didn't find me anything like that so I just presume there isn't any.

I'm curious what the hump has to offer in terms of drawings and by that I mean the classic way, with a pencil or pen (if someone prefers that for some reason...).

I don't consider myself that good, but I got a lot better with each drawing I made. I enjoy doing this sometimes. It helps me relax a lot too. I will post just the 2 I have and I think are decent...ish:

I used to be decent at this during high school, then I decided to "waste" all the artistic talent in maths, physics and things that could guarantee me a good living and a brighter future.

I was so wrong. Laughing

I'm trying to learn to draw like forever but I'm too lazy.

And I have some knowledge in photoshop. Done some commercial (shitty because the client wanted it that way) logo that I still didn't get paid. And I lend money to buy wacom tablet because I was promised to be paid soon.

But I have a better paid job (which I truly hate) as a tech guy were I have none to zero knowledge about technical stuff but I know how to use google and that seems to be sufficient.

Well, I've seen enough I guess... garus is too good for us all. I for one give up on drawing! Sad

@VonMisk That's quite cool actually, but isn't it digital? I would have hoped to see more classic drawings here. Sad

@Waldo Show me what you got!

By the way, the first one was mostly done at school when I was extremely bored. It took quite a lot of time to get it like that and I regret that I didn't know how to draw the scenery better. That's what I should focus on improving I think.

Also, somebody on dA said that he really loved that car because of the extreme angles. I only realized that then. It wasn't my intention, but I think that's what makes the drawing cool.

But if you really want to draw it's good to know some technical stuff like proportions - the human body consists of 8 heights of the head, that the face is divided into equal parts starting from eyebrow line to the tip of the nose is one. from the tip of the nose to the chin next one. And one from the eyebrow line to the hair line. The tip of the ear is on the line with eyebrows, and the bottom of the ear is on where the nose ends etc.

Anyway download some Loomis's and Hogarth's books - they basicly cover everything except maybe perspective.

I know about the face stuff from my old teacher. I never really take them into considerations though. I usually end up with crazier looking characters and not ones that look realistic.

I love sketching, more than most other things, I did it as a kid and I've been doing it ever since. There's no better way to quickly explain an idea than with a sketch. Hell, even some of my gamecover trolls were quickly sketched out first, just so I knew what to aim for. I also have a habit of drawing all my game ideas before I start animating/creating them

And here's a bunch of other random crap for the sake of it

Some of the outcomes of these can be seen in this thread, and this one too

I used to do real life stuff but it was pretty boring, I can't find any of that anymore

That's awesome

Cool stuff, wish I could just sketch like that, but I always go into way too much detail and end up with actual drawings... also, I find it sad that so few people here are interested in this. Sad

Well I'm not artistic (creating), but I do love art. So my interest in techniques and sketches isn't that high unless they are quality pieces. Think it's with most people like that when they aren't artistic themselves.

That being said, you need to maintain the thread if you want to pick up more people, it takes time to get people into it or have a following. Smile

I do love the Max Payne one you made tho! Smile
