Fester means on the shelves in the USA.. the US release was way behind the UK release! it was released a few days, maybe a week ago!!

Yeap, dRPeppir, Stainy's correct - I'm talking about the U.S. release, which has new tracks and a few different vehicles. I've indeed *got* the European release from last year (November?) and it rocks...I'm just looking for this new version.
In all honesty, I love the game so much, I'm dyin' to give these guys my money by purchasing a copy (they truly deserve it), but I'll settle for a scene copy if I can't track one (retail) down, neh?
So my question stands: anyone know where it's in stock? Or at least if there's been a warezed version released? (Not a request for a location, just proof-of-life, as it were.)

...dunno exactly - I only saw screenshots in a forum off of an officially-sanctioned fan website. However, that was a couple clean installs ago, and I didn't save the link in my Favorites or History.
I'll look again for that website, but I'll tell you this: I saw half-a-dozen screens from half-a-dozen discreet and distinct tracks that are NOT in the initial (European) release. They are mostly Euro-looking woodlands/countrysides and pro-race tracks. (Ironic that they sell Euro U.S.-looking maps, and U.S. Euro-looking stuff, eh? It works, though!) I also clearly remember seeing at least four new vehicles, two of them being: a) a VW Bug clone, and b) a Mustang Mach 1 doppleganger.

just a 3 line chat is new, nothing else. all the time went for making ps2 online. must have been mods that you saw.

That's what the peeps with both versions keep telling <: Sure it would be nice to have more stuff, but even 1.2 patch would be great, now the euro and us version are incompatible online. hint: official (euro) forum is a great place to start
