hmmm curious if steam version comes with the 1.01 patch already pre-installed for those using VPN to unlock.

Yep, apparently it does. Steam didn't download any additional files after unlocking.

Cannot launch the game after applying English patch, "Cannot load resource files. Re-installing the game may fix the problem"
I've tried the obvious (re-installing) but it didn't help, exactly the same problem.

Kaspersky is reporting a trojan on the English patch, guessing a false positive? Rare to get those with Kaspersky though in my experience...

So to people that do not have top-of-the-line graphics cards I recommend setting Post FX to Medium (or Low if you want to use FXAA/SMAA/SweetFX antialiasing injectors - although I get black screen when I tried SweetFX...) and Shadows to high. Setting PostFX any higher than Medium I get 20-30fps hit on my HD6870. Setting shadows any higher than high yields similar effect. I don't quite get it, because game does not look too much better with higher PostFX.
Oh and btw. I was suprised I get better perfomance with DX11 with HDAO on and enhanced A2C, than I do in DX9 mode.
