The game is awesome. Lots of things to do; challenges, missions, hunting, harvesting for production and exploring. I also really love the driving, you get some real feedback driving at high speed on the dirt roads.

I know most of you people think I rush all games... and thats almost true, lol.
But not this one, doing every single challenge/sidequest before progressing further.

There are some few negative things about the game, but its nothing major Smile

So the driving is better than FC2? I'm going for all achievements in my games rare, but looks like i will have fun to 100% this one. Very Happy

There are some silly moments , like Im trying to kill some boar..and the horde of wild dogs and varans are attacking me..I barely made it alive.. Laughing

It's recommended that you first stack up on some animal skin..so you can hold more weapons , ammo and even money.. Smile

Im 3h in , game is definitely better than FC 2 but it has it's flaws..but nothing game breaking so far..

I really need a bigger wallet now, kinda sucks with 1000 dollar maximum Wink I have upgraded my bag tho, it was a pretty high priority as I pick up pretty much every leaf I find Smile

Btw, are pretty much every treasure inside a cave? I wasn't able to find a single one (not that I searched for them tho) before I bought the treasure map.

i dont really get the point of money, if u get all the guns for free from simply activating the radio towers, then what do you use money for? buying ammunition?

Am I the only one annoyed about that FarCry3 service notification? It's like 1/5 times I open into the menu and that fucking thing pops up! >,<

I simply love this game.

Only like 4 hours in, barely got 16% completion, but i feel like this is GOTY material.

I've been hunting in every single area so far, upgrading my stuff as i go, did every side quest in the first 3 map squares and i've had so many cool unscripted things happen that you wouldn't believe.

The bow is by far the most satisfying weapon to use, along with the machete (Chasing pigs through the jungle with a machete is always fun)

No framerate issues on the xbox, truncated disk, installed and using mp3 trick. Make sure to verify the image with abgx, since it doesn't have topology data.

I'm trying to avoid the story as waiting for the PC version but so far, really enjoying this. Much better than I'd expected and dare I say it, GOTY for me. When someone said it's like Skyrim with guns they weren't lying (except that far cry is tricky at times and skyrim wasn't).

There's something very satisfying about shooting open a tiger cage at a camp and watching it run rampage Smile

The wildlife is awesome in general. I almost shat myself when I came face to face with a bear the first time. I also get a bit nervous when out in open water Smile

Yep, I've found about 4 or so mainly around the coast area (1 inland I think). They're not huge though

no framerate issues, as in constant 30 fps?
for me the beginning area (escape), ran between 23-25 fps on 360, and after that in the open world it reaches 30 at times but mostly stays around 25-27.
i tried both without installation and with installation + mp3 trick Sad

The frame is poor, its just the way it is. I did see tearing maybe once or twice on a pre-rendered cut scene

yep it has screen tearing.
no app, simply experience, there is a huuuge difference between a game running at 30 fps and at 25-27.
at 30 fps it still feels smooth and constant from a gameplay perspective (even though its not as optimal as 60 fps),
at 28 fps the difference is already big because even though its just 2 frames less, you easily notice that the game doesnt feel as smooth anymore.
this game mostly runs below that and its driving me mad, and the cutscenes are even worse, they hardly run at 25 fps Sad

then you dont need it Razz
its a ghetto trick for lazy people like me without an ihas burner who still truncate their games (97%) and want to play them installed.
normally you get disc authorization errors every few minutes, but if you start an mp3 track from your usb stick before starting the game, then let the music run for around 5 minutes more during the game, you can turn it off and continue playing without encountering any errors Smile

great, i have never seen any problems with slowdowns on 360/ps3. except ninja gaiden 2 on 360, near the end when there are many enemies the game runs in slow motion. i do have problem with screen tearing.. but you say that there's no much tearing.. very good Smile
still didn't play it, i'm playing doom 3 bfg for my first time playing doom 3, it's great. but far cry 3 sounds so good, the best part is the wild life.. can't wait to kill some sharks! real great Smile

I've been doing this as a pre-caution. I've already wasted 3 discs because this wasn't done.
I use to not have this problem. Are the groups responsible for this..? Seems like a simple thing to do.
