20 minutes in game - far cry 3 has stopped working (dx11).
EDIT: i finished first radio tower, game crashed, so 10 minutes of gameplay lost, reload checkpoint, game put me in the shack with black guy who is helping me, nice, will try again with dx9.

Can it be some sort of copy protection?
I heard of games making weird shit when playing a pirated version.

Didn't the reviewers say some GPU driver multithreading thing caused crashes but the game worked fine after disabling it?

it can be, because something is really fucked up with this game, no crash now, but i got to first boar with a car to skin it, then game says checkpoint reached, i reload the checkpoint, and game put me back when you first enter the car,.. this is very unplayable and frustrating

Been playing for an hour now or so and no crashes,so it's not a copy protection.
Only thing of course is the no voice,but since I played this on PS3 for a while,I can live without them until I get the ALI release.

I have it working with Russian voice audio and English subs now, don't need to bother with the language files.
Change the RU and Russian values at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Ubisoft\Farcry3 to US and English.
Remove the sound_russian.dat and sound_russian.fat files in the \data_win32 directory or rename them to sound_russian.dat.bak and sound_russian.fat.bak.
Rename the files fc3_main_russian.dat and fc3_main_russian.fat in data_win32\worlds\fc3_main directory to fc3_main_english.dat and fc3_main_english.fat.
Best way to play it at the moment until an English release comes along!

cs site user says to extract from 360 regionfree disc the language files, and place them in far cry 3 folder, worked perfectly fine... now just have to wait for those to show up.

I, too, would be happy to upload them if needed. I do have to recreate an iso from my converted GOD package though...now to remember how...
edit: Got it! Will try extracting and replacing audio now, will report back if successful.

pakrat, is this the 103 mb language file you're talking about? cause I did that too but I dont have the option to change the audio to english..
edit: damnit, i deleted the russian files and it is set to english, but there is no audio at all now, which is even worse.

Hey JBeckman, did those files work for you?
I extracted what I thought were the correct files from my 360 image and copied them to their respective directories, but it just keeps crashing for me...
I'll try your files and see if there is any difference. Thanks for the upload!

I used the language files from the 360 release and you can choose audio language etc in options but theres still no voice in game.

I haven't tried it myself, I just extracted those from the X360 iso, you might need to change the language setting in the Windows registry as well from what I've read in a earlier post.

The registry entry only seems to affect the language of the menu's, I'm guessing the 360 audio files just aren't compatible.
