I can't remember the FC2 previews but I can clearly remember the trailers.
Which were pretty similar to FC3's gameplay bits.

On the other hand RPS says that it isn't like FC2 so it might turn out alright.

Im pretty confident Far Cry 3 will perform alot better than AC3, the engine is TONS more optimized for a large range of PCs.

Just for the hell of it i reinstalled Far Cry 2 and my PC plays it perfectly on Very High settings and completely rage rapes that game on the High settings (which is all i ask really). Plus theres even Low and Medium below High.

Heres hoping to it being a great game Reaction

This is certainly the preview build.

I just saw a gaming live video, where the guy says he was unable to run the game in Dx11 mode.
This will most likely be fixed in final build, hopefully.

The game better be totally fixed at launch, because Ubi usually doesn't give a shit about patching their games upon release.

Beside this, the game looks amazingly excellent, can't wait for my "preordered" copy Very Happy

What's the point of buying this game from GMG? You can't activate it on steam since it is a Uplay key and this "great" ubi client doesn't even allow you to download the game but you need to use capsule instead... Rolling Eyes

This is the shit i've been worried about. Now we have 5 billion clients with our game scattered across them, and sooner or later one or another will stop their services and you'll get fucked.

Once you use your key with an uplay account, the key will be registered with this account and can't be used again.

Exactly they all think that they can do a better job then steam. But the sad reality is that steam is simply the best. That's why i refuse to buy a game which forces you to use any other wanna be steam client.

Unless you buy directly from Steam, you will get a Uplay key anyway. You can use some release, which will likely be available sooner than Uplay or GMG installers to install the game.

I'd love to have the game on Steam myself, but when the difference is 32€ vs 60€, I am willing to reconsider Smile

There's no Steamworks on Ubi games, so it won't matter where you buy the game at all.

Indeed... as I said, if you want anything different than what GMG offers, your only other option is Steam. You get the same deal everywhere else - a separate installer and a Uplay key.

Well, you can always buy a physical copy, which might get delivered before the release date...

Uplay version is RegionFree/Multilang.
I'm not sure for Steam version.

I know, but i mean what's the advantage of buying this game instead of using the isodemo? Smile When it would had used steamworks and thus the options to download the game in steam and use steam cloud to store the save games i would have bought it, but now... Sad
