No..It's not there/unlocked in RLD's release.
Also, you cannot use savegame file trick, dlcs don't work on yarr version.

Anyone else playing with mouse & keyboard? I've completed all previous games that way, and had no problems, except when the camera decided to get a mind of its own. That doesn't seem to happen that often in AC3, and overall the game is easier to control than before. The only thing that has obviously been designed for a console are menus. Everything is unnecessary big and it takes too many steps to change a simple setting or check out the codex. At least the menu doesn't take up to 2 seconds to open up like it did in Revelations and Brotherhood.

Anyway, I can't imagine playing with the controller would be any easier.

If that was mentioned earlier then I`m sorry but I have proposition for people with fps problems.

IF you are having fps that hoovers between 32-60 fps LOCK the game to 30fps with vsync, I did that and it feels much smoother than those big fluctuations from 30 to 60. I never drop below that 30fps anywhere in game and I could even increase some graphics options

Im not a console player and I always liked games to run with 55-60 solid fps but setting it to 30 really fixed the game for me. I can now enjoy it

i5 6600 + Silentiumpc Spartan Pro, Asus H170-plus mobo, HyperX 16 GB DDR4 2133MHz, Asus GTX 970 Strix OC, 1TB Seagate Barracuda, BeQuiet L8 500W, Zalman Z9 case, crap monitor Smile

Always better to have 30fps than fluctuating 30-60. However, there's nothing out there that I know of that can lock a solid 30fps with equal frame intervals. The timing always messes up and you get additional judder.

It really is impossible to tell but I think it's not driver related (12.10, HD6850, Q8300@3.33GHz). Everything on low-- oh right, sorry, I meant everything on "normal".

It may not look as good as this does but at least you can properly scale it according to your machine's horsepower.

This?

You be trolling but I keep wondering about that.
Every AC game that I tried always seemed to perform worse than they should have according to other people with relatively similar specs... You Suspicious Be

I'm halfway through seq 10 now, definitely the best in the series for me.

+ It looks great, the world feels livelier than any other AC game.
+ I like the story and the setting (though I still favour Altair's story much more than Connor's or Ezio's)
+ Combat feels better somehow. As I said before, it's more fluid and the flow is better. Still piss easy though, but I didn't expect that would change.
+ Frontier with all its pros.
+ Tree walking. Though relatively limited, it's a great addition.
+ Weather effects. Snow looks very good.
+ Captain Kidd missions, good diversion.
+ Naval mission = the awesome.

- Connor's voice acting.
- No outfit/armor upgrade.
- Story doesn't exactly flow, it's not always coherent.
- The major characters aren't worked out very wel.

9/10

At the moment the game doesnt run solid 60fps on any PC (if someone says its running, he need´s to buy new pairs of eyes). Its coded by monkeys.

But I don't need it running at a solid 60 fps, I know that's just not possible at my machine.
What I'd like to see was a uniform performance across the board, even if it was at 40-45fps with all the settings on low but it seems they forgot to code those into the game/engine

How is it not possible to run 60 fps? Does the first game run 60 fps on your machine? So how the fuck can this not, when it target the same fucking hardware. Oh right DX11 with retarded tessellation that makes snow scenes stutter because idiot devs have decided to put tessellation on the footsteps. Rolling Eyes

There are outfits, but they serve zero purpose faik. You can't upgrade any of it.

I have crafted the war tomahawk, but I can't buy or find it. Where is it? I also crafted a dual action thing, thinking I could wield two guns. That one is also missing though, can't find it anywhere.

First one runs... 50-60fps IIRC but then it can suddenly dip into the 30-40s.
Always had trouble with this engine and it's several (2?) versions.

And I really wanted to give this one a chance since it seems to be more open than the previous games... and it was supposedly PC optimized since this time it would use DX11 !1!!1!!111 Laughing

Adding some DX11 supporrted features does not make a game optimized for PC. In its core it's still a console port. I'm glad I upgraded in time to play this game though.

Had the same problem when my computer was still running on a q6600. AC2 ran like shit (around 30 FPS most of the time), Brotherhood was fine, and Revelations again ran like shit. But I, being easy to please it seems, still completed them Laughing

Remember the ridiculous 100% sync requirement from Brotherhood? (The tank mission)

AC3 has an even worse one Laughing The naval mission where you have to take down 3 ships by shooting their powder supply, holy shit, that took me ~1 hour.

Just started playing this last night, and holy shit the flickering shadows on the snow are going to give me epilepsy. Wanted to avoid spoilers so I haven't read much of the rest of the thread to see if anyone else is experiencing it or if there is a fix. It's weird. It kind of looks like the shadows are alpha planes overlaid on the top of the snow and they are clipping through the surface.

The frame rate is all over the place, but I haven't really looked to see what it averages at.

Pivots. Smile

When you finish the third and last epilogue mission (And are connected against Ubisoft's online servers.) the Animus gets hacked and you and other players place pivots around the world which each unlock a separate code, latest one I got is called Ninja and makes me invisible to guards, there's also one to change the weather, one to change the season, rapid fire, invincibility and others.
(Pivots when placed triangulate position of other nearby ones in a radius depending on how you place them.)

However it does rely on other players so it can't be done offline from my understanding.

Also enabling any of these stops game progress until it's disabled so you'd have to clear 100% before you can fully enable them if you want to do all those activities.

I don't have the problem, but I read that it might be caused by SLI. Turn it off and see if it happens w/ just one card.

If you don't have SLI, then I have no idea.

Someone suggested to use Black Ops SLI tag (0x020000F5) for AC3. You can use NV Inspector to force it. That is, if you have SLI.
