If you are in Germany you can only get the code between 20:00 and 06:00. That is what the E-mail with the code says.

I have a Q. I've not had time to play through any more than the tutorial bit, and I'm not quite sure how well this game will run on my system.

I tried the benchmark, which was a very busy scene. Is that representative of the game in general, or is it an absolute worst case scenario?

I'd say it's a good representation. Game has a lot of NPCs during levels.

Bugger. I think I can still play it, it's a bit slow. I don't think I can blame this on poor optimization tho, as that scene was incredibly busy.

Unless anyone else says otherwise? Laughing

I'd say that the benchmark is a pretty much a worst case scenario. There's only a couple of other sections of the game that are as busy.

What sort of FPS did you get on the benchmark?

That's odd. I changed it from Germany to UK and it worked.

If I maxed everything out, I was averaging about 12-15 fps

Lowest possible settings it was about 20-25 fps.

I'm not complaining (unlike in the AC3 thread) because the screen really does look very busy, I can imagine it being very CPU intensive.

You actually have to share something in order to have the chance to win, later.

I'll have an AC3 code, thanks.

Formatted my drive and re-installed Windows, downloaded and installed all the updates, updated my GTX 660 to the latest driver.

I have everything installed, EVERYTHING, blocked HMA.EXE in my firewall and turned off AV, and it still won't launch.

Same fucking application error 0xc0000005 shows up and HMA.EXE lingers in memory but doesn't grow beyond a few KB.

You should be able to run the game on med/high at about 30 fps with your sys, the benchmark is not representative of the game, i played trough most of the game now on my sisters c2d@ 3.5 ghz with a hd 5770 Catalyst 12.11 Beta8(1080p ,16AF,FXAA everthing high except ssao, dx11 nonsense off couldnt even see a difference tbh) and even the actual level (got about 30 fps there) that the benchmark is based of runs way better then the benchmark itself (15-20fps) lowest ingame was the subwaystation i think with around 20 fps but there are really tons of people there so no wonder, all in all im very pleased with the engine it looks gorgeous and runs ok even on low spec machines.

The game bugged out on me ("dxgi error device removed") at some point and refused to cooperate. It's a generic erroor and can mean anything, but this time it's lack of memory.

If it happens to you it might be MSAA that is the problem. Had to disable it. Yep, GTX 670 2GB, still not enough.

I forgot how Hitman games get annoying when something goes wrong. It's a trial and error game where you fail and fail again until you figure out the 'right' way to do things then play it out like on a leash. Not enjoyable at all for me.

That's actually pretty damn funny Very Happy. I'd take what happened to you over realism anyday haha.
