but following the dude around, seeing where he goes, trying to find all possibilities of killing takes 1-2-3 hours

this was my 2nd time playing the mission.. the first time was pretty much the same aside that i strangled the cop there(and was then baffled to find a brick of c4). They dont exactly try hard to hide the obviousness(so far)

There is another cop on purist, making it more difficult.

He "greets" you when you enter the gates and starts moving towards his position at the entrance to that alley.

I love how all of us are only analyzing "The King of Chinatown" mission. This was in my opinion the only mission that was actually fun. The rest are just annoying as fuck

I liked the hotel one as well but I've not gotten much further though the mission after with the hippie community was somewhat funny even if the ~50 police I had to shoot (Since I couldn't disguise myself as a hippie as you can't take normal civilian clothes.) sent the score to a negative value. Very Happy

Hotel went bad as well since I over estimated my abilities, saw a electrician go into a side door and when I went in via the sewers and sneaked past the initial guard there I found him again I thought and thus subdued and took his uniform, only to run straight into a patrol with another technician whom immediately spotted me (I was right next to him.) and thus it evolved into a mass shooting as well with a lot of civilian casualties.
(I thought there was only one but there's like five - ten or so of them, to say nothing of the many guards there, didn't like the ending of the level but I guess if I was allowed to be in control that body guard would be quite dead.)

JB, try going to that same electrician, but instead of subduing him, go through the nearby vent (by the dumping crate). You can find a free janitor uniform there, no need to subdue anyone. Very Happy

There's also another uniform on the 7th floor, vent in the restroom and it's right there as you exit.

Too bad that there are like 5 janitors on the first checkpoint alone and that the janitor's uniform is nearly useless on the 7th floor (can only access one restricted hallway that you can access just fine with just the suit and the maintenance room).

Yes that's also something I enjoy, there's so much hidden stuff such as the uniforms you mention or the remote explosive that Chiv talked about.
(There is a lot of conversations and scripted events too.)

Levels are fairly linear but the areas you have to pass through can still be quite open, lots of things to discover and it's very well crafted, engine might overdo the lighting effects but it's pretty solid otherwise.
(And all those challenges for using misc items or certain ways to proceed, different assassinations and so on.)

EDIT: Shame you can't take the female maid uniforms that would have been unique, maybe I can take the stripper outfits on this current mission...
(Enemies flee on sight that or they stand, point and laugh.)

(Though I guess it would need to be a gay bar as this 47 can only take male outfits and only those that belong to certain professions, doesn't seem like you can take unique outfits either aside from for side NPC like say the drug dealer.)

Yeah they already have this darker humor and tone so it would have worked. Smile
(And a lot of easter eggs like the peeing guard someone made a video from in Hitman 2.)

you were hoping for more crowd based blending in shit and all you got were challenge rooms with guard patrols you have to hide from using chest-high walls.

Hey kurwas try to beat my score now Cool Face I know this level better than my gf already. I can try to achieve more challenges and then pass it again for even more points. :0
Last difficulty actually is easier to not get spotted. Or just i know exactly when to blend in the level to avoid that Laughing

218,680 here, Fugu fish, steal evidence and rush to the exit.

EDIT:

For the first one the score didn't update after re-playing it but the rating did and for the second one it seems you need a massive total in order to get the SA rating.
(I used fiber wire mostly, should have used the gas pump itself and a few other things, one of the bodies were also spotted and then there was a mess in the club.)

Well you probably have less challenge's completed. It can be rushed even more if i pass it with bombing kill him with the sniper.Poison the drugs. And then pass it again with the metod i did to achieve that.

Edit: The score update didn't worked for me yesterday too. That was when contracts servers were down.

Purist (x150 bonus) + all challenges complete (x bonus)

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Pursuit here too. So probably Challenges. So this is the highest non cheating score i guess. There are people with more than that and are probably cheaters.
Going to complete some challenges now. Played 7 hours and completed only 2 levels. I'm taking it slow Very Happy

world rank 6.

I think you can add 2,850 points more by removing evidence..(or it's counted as 1 time challenge?)

I'm on mission 3..9 hours play time.

(stopped as my hdd crashed and gotta re-download everything) Crying or Very sad

275 should be possible since you get 10.000 for taking the evidence.
(Or at least I think it was 10.000)

(EDIT: No wait it's level dependent isn't it?)

Well completing challenges on normal is far far easy. There is less cops and its child work. On Hard + some challenges are impossible to complete. Kaboom for instance. On hard there is two cops in front of the car and there is no way. If you throw something they will spot you. Even if you can get the bomb and throw it no way to avoid killing them with the bomb. Only way is on normal when the cop is only one and you dump him in the container while he is alive that saves him from explosion. Completed almost all challenges so will post score with all challenges and silent assassin on last difficulty.

Cool Face

Chinatown Silent Assassin on Purist (no instinct):

I made this to show you dont need any instinct for this mission. You just have to be in sneak mode to steal the poison

I'm not really paying attention to the scores for this. I'm just aiming for what I consider Silent Assassin, which is getting in and out without setting off any alarms, and only killing the target (not even subduing anyone if I can help it).

The whole idea of making Silent Assassin based on a high score is kind of the opposite of Silent Assassin, imo. Silent Assassin should be about minimalism.
