1. you should really check the hacksites forums before you say ANYTHING more, or get better at spotting em
2. they had to release those 2 patches fast as fuck cause the game didnt work for a shitlöoad of people it was bandaid for a failed product
3. no dedicated servers meaning i will get your IP since you direct connect to me when im hosting, im having a field day with port scans right now, im currently working with wireshark to try and get playerid's with the ip, and when i get that imma start kicking people i dont want playing, just to fuck with treyshits bad idea
4. how the fuck did laser attach+smg get through playtesting ?, my guess is mental retardation
5. nuketown greed debacle
6. FoV debacle
7. clusterfucked auth servers dropping connection
8. random disconnects in game for ati/amd users (being patched still not perfect)
9. sluggish engine STILL with the shit they are showing it should be atleast 50% faster
10. weapon ranges, every weap has too far ranges without any dmg dropoff vs the small maps, only time it balances out is in the various maps that has "sniper tunnels" otherwise they are too small for the range part of any weapon to balance stuff out and then it boils down to RoF and accuracy
but fuck no they didnt drop the ball on this one, RIGHT ON TRACK! (and in a sense i guess they are following in their previous shitty footsteps)

sure it works?
20min into the time and fate mission and screen went black then it crashed to desktop with the usual error.
so far I got the least crashes with steam006's crack and the very first skidrow but none seem to work 100%

2 questions for the people having sound issues and crashing...
1) Where is your game installed...eg. C:
2) Is it the Skidrow Install one or the Unlocked Steam one?
The Patch needs to find the game folder...if it doesn't match it will put another folder in the Black Ops folder (not good) Your game folder should be named exactly what the Skidrow patch is looking for.
Mine is the Steam unlocked and the patch and new crack works fine....Win 7 32 bit

the only pattern I've seen so far is that people with crashes seem to be predominantly on DX10 cards (including me)
but how could this be linked to the copy protection, I dont get it
on the other hand it must be a CEG check, for example with the 1st skiddie crack it always crashes at the same point during the final mission, inside the base when the elevator opens.
I saved beforehand and could duplicate the crash 2 more times, the ceg trigger is clearly bound to the elevator opening.
with other cracks it doesnt crash at that point.

sound is fine for me with the new updates, the game is running great and no more timezone change! i have also read a few guys having no sound on other forums, very strange...

So..I finally decided to finish it, and I must say that despite everything (stale gameplay included), the second half of the game wasn't THAT bad.
Still linear as hell of course, but with "bigger" levels, more than passable story and better pace overall, with decent graphics and music too, since the futuristic setting was definitely more polished and attractive if compared to the generic rural/natural environments.
Far from being good but better than MW3, BF3 and especially Warfail. I'd give it a 6/10..
Oh, and about that Avenged Sevenfold stuff, you've got to be kidding me.

Skidrow did their job, the crack is flawless.
Treyarch did not. Performance is still not perfect.
