That's so blatantly fake it's just not funny. I mean, look at how much armour she's wearing and you can't even see her tummy or cleavage! Pfft, that's photoshopped. Girls don't wear armour like that.

After playing "Dark Souls" for a rather long time returning to "Skyrim" feels somehow boring because one really adrenaline-pumping design decision would fit good to Skyrim, too - but is missing: When you use the inventory, the game is paused (unlike "Dark Souls") breaking immersion and making (the already pretty easy) fights even more boring. Stopping in the heat of the fight and taking all the time in the world for drinking a health potion, preparing a spell or equipping a different weapon... how boring

what would I give if there were a MOD making the game to continue running in the background while you use the inventory or the quick-access-list... Sad

So, I've got new parts jsut last week and I am NOT recent with skyrim mods.

What mods do I want? Mostly graphical mods pls. Nothing that mods the game drasticly Wink


Also. I am using sweetfx configurator. Is there a general recommended options for it? for sweetfx that is.

Uhh...I don't know, but I never really access menus mid-fight. Only to pause if I want to go afk or alt-tab. This is PC, you know you can hotkey all your spells and what not. There's mod for that allows even more than default 9 (or so) keybinds.

I think Skyrim would work well if they "port" over the Souls games combat system. Shield having different block percentage for different sources of attacks, endurance regenerates at the same speed in or out of battle, etc. but then again, this is Elder Scrolls we are talking about, now it is all about the open world scenery and not the RPG elements OR combat elements. I won't be surprised if they just throw skill levels out of the window in 6.

In the middle of a battle, it would take a person a split second to decide what weapon they want to switch to or what magic to use. Thus the game pausing during the inventory is more "realistic". Animation still take time to switch between weapons, but perhaps those could take a little longer.

I agree. The fact that we can carry around shit ton of items and have infinite time to choose what to use and when to use is inherently silly. But that is the nature of the system and removing the time pausing is not going to help at all. Unless they add item slots, once again like Dark Souls. Then it makes sense.

Those looks great! Seriously!

And i'm about to continue my Skyrim gaming. I took a long break after finishing the storyline and playing for 62 hours or so.

So i'm wondering if there are some truly good content addons out there? Adding for example cave systems which are deep and varying with good bosses and simple to complex quests? That's just an example though.

I think this is the topic sweetfx is disscussed most.
What are the best setting for smaa inside sweetfx?
default sweetfx doesnt seem to remove all that much jaggies. There are like 4 values under smaa section in settings.txt but I am not sure which to adjust if any.

Generally is it the best to just stick to default sweetfx settings and just enable disable features ? Or do I really need to go down the tweaking?

I mosttly use smaa, sharpen, hdr and vibrance.

But back to my question. Best method of aa.

Let all the reaaaaally good mods get some time to mature, and also let Bethesda get done with DLC and as such, and the unofficial patches time to fix their /facepalms. Play through it again when it's really faded from your mind and the experience will be that much better.


That's my plan, at least. 312 hours playtime in the first 6 weeks, and nothing since. Both sad and geeky Very Happy

At the moment there aren't many substantial additional contents, but hopefully the next DLC will bring some goodies...and maybe modders will finally decide to roll up their sleeves Razz
