It was so terrible compared to older installments.
It was so good on paper...but so goddamn bad in the long run.
Every major character in the game, save for Haytham and Charles Lee BARELY make cameos. Considering the setting is about the Revolutionary War, the founding fathers should have had, imo, larger roles.
Also, the switch to Havok for walking and climbing physics was not a smart move, earlier installments used a proprietary physics engine for movement, while Havok was used for cloth. This time around, countless times did my character grab something wrong, or fallen of some stairs because at the end of it there was a slope. I like how the branches bend under Connor's weight and the Frontier might be the best level in the game, Boston and New York barely inspired me some of the grandeur and need for exploration that Rome, Venice or Firenze once did.
Also, the inventory and gear have been toned down compared to AC2/B/R, Connor cannot use body armor, and considering most of your fights are melee, this would have been a good idea. The combat system is harder, at first, but once you get the hang of it, it gets as boring as the in AC1 was. You simply have to block or take a human shield to avoid taking damage. But in the end, it doesn't matter what weapon you use, or what combo (although the dart rope is certainly good for taking down resilient units), fights will always be as long...or short.

I guess we'll see in the DLC.
(The tyranny of king Washington or what it was called, alternate history take on the situation or some such.)
As for the current game I've not gotten far enough yet but I know the story fairly well now, should be good.
(Albeit maybe not quite up to Deus Ex standards, still the 2012 theme also provides a lot of resource material as with Illuminati, Aliens and what else DE had going.)
Is there any way to convert savegames from Xbox to PC? I couldn't resist playing when it came out for the Xbox, yet the stuttering was annoying me to the point where I didn't want to continue playing it, was already in chapter 7. Tried it on PC and since I have a decent rig, it works like a charm. Just... I really don't wont to play from the start again, already invested like 20+ hours in the game since I completed nearly all the side missions.

Very unlikely.

Is it possible to play this game with an xbox controller? I've plugged my controller in, but the game doesn't switch to the controller, nor do I see the option in the menu.
Well, one can always hope. But I guess you are right, even though there is a savegame converter for the Mass Effect series and I remember one multiplatform game (no idea which one, though) where I could use my Xbox savegame just by extracting it with Horizon or a similar tool.

it's under options->controls, the first setting allows you to switch to your controller. at least it works here with my wireless one.

Just restart the game if the option is not available.
I can't find an nfo for this one. What is propered?
Its not official THETA proper. Maybe someone patched it to work with old saves.
For those who still wonder THETA iso's contain original multi 8 installer. Fully ENG end such.
Scene will use exactly this clone .
