original COD was amazing and COD4 was great game and that's about it more or less.
if they will keep doing this crap in the future,i am out.

i am sure the MP is great fun,so this is only the SP i am talking about.

What are you talking about? its was a great SP campaign. the best so far in this series.
you know what you will get when you play COD games. my score for the SP campaign is defenetly 8.5/10

as i said, for me only 2 COD games are great when it comes to SP,the rest are just more of the same and usualy as you saying :"you know what you will get when you play COD games" it works if you like the style, but this one feels to me like too much of the same, but again, this is me and as long as others are happy with this game,i am happy for them:)

Not one of the cracks or timezone changes worked for me, turns out all I had to do was run windows update and now everything works fine.

See, that's just weird, I thought the game looked great...

Now mw3 was fuckugly but this... given its console heritage, I find myself often thinking it looks quite great, AND it runs really well maxed out.

Nah, no major upgrade, I guess it's just a much better usage of the old engine. They managed to make it look prettier. I don't know maybe they just had better concept art or something.

if this is the same engine, then theyve done PHENOMINAL work to it. this isnt just 'better' than mw3, its a genuinely nice looking game, and oh man, their artistic design is so much nicer (higher quality, more artistic) than the post mw2 infinity ward managed to do with mw3

its just not an ugly or dated game.

anyway, just finished it. low points: the music playing over the credits and the execution of the strike-force missions. i also didnt really like the past-missions, i didnt really think they contributed much, i enjoyed the future ones much more.

other than that... yeah i will give these devs credit. i loved that they actually ATTEMPTED to do something a bit different with mw. you can (and all do) derp on this game as much as you want, but the flawed rts/fps hybrid side-missions, and the attempt at implementing cause/effect choices/actions are both new and interesting concepts, and i applaud them. i WOULD prefer a more substantial attempt next time if they try to implement actions and outcomes in further games (which i HOPE they do), because in this game theyre very artificially done....

overall i definately liked the game. its not better than mw1 or 2, but better than all the others.

There was some kinda launch evet last night on TV and a dev was talking about the game. Apparently the story is an eight hour thrill ride in which the player can influence the story leading to many outcomes (apparently they had to deal with hundreds of possibilities since player impact was huge). Is there any chance this is slightly true?

Well it's a good 6-7 hours and you can partially influence the story (Kill this man? Wound this man? Search this room? Don't search this room?) and there are three endings. There's no "huge player impact and hundreds of possibilities!"

There are half a dozen choices you make, but they all lead to only three endings and only a handful of choices differ between the three.

Finished the campaign yesterday... In general, I'd say that it's good that they try to evolve the SP experience somewhat. You have missions that can actually allow you to choose the outcome or fail certain objectives, influencing the story that way, instead of forcing you to follow a predetermined path and killing you or failing the mission whenever you deviate from that path or press the wrong button. It's still quite limited, but it's something Smile

Many of the combat areas are slightly more open now as well, with multiple paths and slightly more freedom of movement. It's on a small scale, but it still makes you feel like you have more options for advancing. It's too easy to overlook them though, since you often follow the same old MMS approach and simply try to shoot your way through the hoards of respawning enemies.

This is probably where it still fails the most for me: despite all the improvements - the actual core gameplay aspect is same old CoD which was getting boring a few games ago already. I suppose it's kinda fun to run through it, playing it as an arcade shooter on the normal difficulty, but it makes it an "okay" game for me, nothing more.

I agree, and I think it's mainly because of the fact that Black Ops 2 doesn't have the horrendous green-ish palette + crappy rendering that MW3 had, since models/textures are (obviously) the same since MW1 Razz

I'm too lazy to read all of the previous posts....but I have a question about this game.

Bottom line, the skidrow release of this game with all of the cracks and crack fixes......does the game eventually work? Is it worth a d/l to at least look at it?

I've been hesitant to d/l until there was a proper that unconditionally worked, but I haven't see that yet.
thx

theres the 3dm crack and the timefix crack and together they work perfectly without needing to change your date (or atleast they did for me, played it all the way through no problems)

yes the game is worth getting and playing. it looks good, plays good, is interesting enough, has some neat setpieces and some interesting ideas that change things up a bit for a change. not flawless but worth a play.
