I enjoyed the film more on a second viewing (first time was when it came out at the cinema) I may have just been more 'in the mood' for it last night, but I enjoyed it far more.

Finally downloaded and watched this (2nd time, 1st in theatres). I dunno if the blueray actually switches aspect ratios to preserve the entire stream resolution, but with a flat 16x9 AR for the entire movie, the cinimascope cuts looked so inferior, and I really hate having black bars on my tv too. -_- They need to go imax %100 or go home.

Now for what I really wanted to ask, anyone been trying to get this from newsgroups? After 48 hours since they started uploading, easynews has no HD copies that have stuck around long enough to be decoded. In fact, I almost lost the LameHD release I downloaded because it was riddled with missing post and I was 6 blocks short of a repair. Well when I went back to the web server to find more par files I freaked when the entire release was gone. This isn't just the web server but the news server side too. This on top of the fact that the first 3 HD releases found on binsearch have also failed to show up on easynews (again, the NNTP side) leads me to beleive their is some DMCA request going out canceling these post. I didn't quite think they had this kind of power over usenet but if major news services are effected by it, it may be time to search out less lucrative usenet services out of reach from such post cancellations.

Newsgroups are getting hit hard.

I personally didn't have a problem with it, but I went out of my way to find a smaller backend provider, use my own personal indexer and use things like sickbeard and couch potato. So I may have grabbed a copy that had not show up at that time shown up on a million "Get your Super Easy NZB here sites" etc.. as my page index's the groups I want every 30 minutes.

so... wayne uses the retarded grumbly voice to disguise his identity from others and/or seem more imposing when talking TO others...

so why the hell did he use that grumbly retard-o voice when he was talking to himself.... do you think nolan was actually being clever and working a side-point into the film that wayne had become utterly disillusion and mentally unstable, split personality stuff? i kinda hope so, but i dont think he was that clever :/

He didn't use it when he was wearing a ski mas in the hospital, though. Could be the suit is somehow influencing his vocal cords.

Even mentally. Like chiv said, it could be a mental thing when he puts the suit on.

Am i the only one, who thought, that the voice of bane was just ... off ?

That aside, one major factor, for me, that weighted heavy on my judgement, was that for me, the (heath ledger) joker in "the dark knight", was the ultimate villain and i simply cannot imagine anyone topping that performance. I go even further with saying, the (heath Ledger) Joker is the ULTIMATE villain EVER. I don't see any other villain, in any franchise, coming even close to it.

Yeah, Sin is right - The Joker is quite overrated Smile

Ok, Ledger did a great job - but let's not overstate it. Best villain ever? Personally, I'd go with someone like Nurse Ratched in Cuckoo's Nest - but to each his own. The Joker is simply a great character - and Mark Hamill does every bit as good a job in the animated series, imo. Jack Nicholson was hammy - but that was on purpose, and for a lighter take - I think he matches Ledger every step of the way.

Ledger died and that's a tragedy. He was a very talented young actor. But DK is full of plot holes and has a ridiculous character arc for Harvey Dent. It's one of the most overrated movies in recent history - and it's almost exclusively because of Ledger/Joker. Batman Begins is better in every way - and I can't stand Maggie Gyllenhaal.

The suit is the reason in reality, Bale ends up using that voice because he can't breathe through his nose when wearing the cowl.

I wonder why some people think Bane was a puppet. And I won't use the spoiler tag, if you haven't seen it yet, why are you here in this thread? It is Bane's plan. He executes it fully. Talia is an accomplice, but she is not the mastermind of it all. It would be similar to say that Lucius Fox is responsible behind Batman because he gave him gadgets.

@asdl Blocked nose would actually create a higher-pitched voice, like Bane's. Shut nose does not cause lower/deeper voice. I think the suit is pressing on the neck, which can cause the voice to distort to a lower register.

Its just a quote I read from Bale in a book, he said in it that the voice originally came about because he cannot breathe through his nose when wearing the cowl, which in turn makes him breathless when filming alot of the scenes so it stuck.
