One thing bothers me ( a little). There was a scene in the trailer where, you could see Galadriel talking to Gandalf about Bilbo.
Spoiler:
this actually never happend in the book , she wasnt even mentioned there. I really hope that they didnt fill the movie with useless scenes just to strecht it for the sake of releasing it in 3 parts.
I really cant see how they will split the movies into 3 parts, the book wasnt that long :/

I thought it was obvious that they've picked stuff from more books that bilbo tbh...
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.
I really hope that they will make a better job in this, in par with the book.
But I have little hope, judging from the material we have seen until today.
Yeah well..I think they've taken shit from all of Tolkiens books to make bilbo work as three movies. And yes, I do know that tales from silmarillion/unfinished tales/ are about different ages of middle earth
but again - it's just a wild guess. He did add/change things in LoTR triology too

And according to unbiased sources, the deaths occured at a farm where the animals were kept during filming and they were due to poor conditions.
If these people want to protest something, protest the farm.

Yes, sure.
They made nice stew with the victims of the Unexpected Cruelty.

“My eyes cannot take everything in, it’s dizzying, now I have a migraine,” said one fan, who nevertheless can’t wait to see it again.
Another tweeted: “It works for the big snowy mountains, but in close-ups the picture strobes. I left loving the movie but feeling sick.”
One fan said watching the film was like a being on a rollercoaster. “You have to hold your stomach down and let your eyes pop at first to adjust. This is not for wimps.”
I hope it's like the "My eyes/head/brain were about to explode while watching Avatar, what the fuck is this shitttt" overreactions (though some people legitimately have a problem with 3D), while I had one of my best movie theater experiences with crystal clear picture and awesome stereoscopic cinematography (my first and last digital/3D projection).

Happily for fantasy fans with weak stomachs, hardly anyone will actually be able to see The Hobbit in its 48fps glory, because fewer than five per cent of cinemas have the necessary equipment.
Oh
There's that as well

More than "some". People with who get motion sickness easily tend to feel sick from watching 3D; depending on your eyes it may also induce headaches. Neither of my parents can handle 3D (their eyes aren't what they used to be so they don't need full time glasses, but they do need reading glasses). My cousin can't either, she gets motion sickness in the back of any car and even when driving herself it really depends on the car's dampening
And for me personally, most forms 3D doesn't do shit. I don't get the amazing sensation a lot of people get, fuck knows why, but I don't. I have near perfect vision (above average last test anyway, can't remember what exactly), don't get motion sickness or anything but it just doesn't do anything for me :/
The only one that does work for me is Imax domes. None of them around here of course
48 fps would be the only reason for me to go see this movie. I guess no reasons left.
EDIT: The comment under the article says that these opinions are from April and that viewers seen some earlier version of the movie.
That comment is probably wrong because the article points out that they were complaints back in April AND now with the final film.

Haha sadly it's true in my zone.. only the biggest cities are equipped with fancy cinemas with all the goodies, the rest are old-style. Anyway the movies are all dubbed so I don't care after all.
I used to have a problem with 3D. I remember when watching Avatar, my right eye was constantly tearing up (altho that could be the issue with my sinuses). I never got sick, even tho I can get sick from driving in a car sometimes :\

I don't like 3D since it very obviously darkens the picture by quite a bit (the theater here is relatively new). I still can't believe they haven't fixed that shit. The best 3D experience I've had was 3D in an IMAX theater, but the price doubles.

In new movies it's not like that. I've watched in IMAX and in Real3D technology, and the movies weren't darkened any more.
It was like that before

Depends on the theater/projection method/equipment/experience of the projectionist/calibration of the 3D version and more.
In MY experience, when I watched Avatar in RealD it was very bright and colorful. If I was told the 2D version is even brighter I would respond "really? why?".
I went inside having read that I'm going to get a headache, I'll want to throw up, my eyes will start tearing, it's going to be dark as shit, it'll be full of ghosting, and I experienced none of the above.
On the other hand my The Dark Knight experience (a 2D film) was the worst ever. Same theater, same "room" (is this how it's called?) but before they upgraded their shit with brand new equipment (for 3D projection).
A shitty dark image, that was largerly unfocused, full of scratches. I'd have more fun watching the film in VHS.
tl;dr my best cinema experience is with a 3D film and my worst with a 2D one. Proper equipment and use of it makes all the difference.
