I got a question
DOes anybody has problems like this:
Some games are working flawless
but some games are crashing(shuting down my ps3) after playing something like 10-15 minutes
had this problem on 3.55kmeaw - 3.55true bule 4.21 rogero and still have the problem with 4.3
This makes games like call of duty unplayable for me :/

There are too many legitimate players having issues too, so i would wait for any official confirmation before trying to play a new game online.

I'm still on CFW 4.21 (I'll wait for 4.40 to upgrade). Is there a good 4.21 resigner I could use to sign the eboot of Hitman Absolution to make it playable on 4.21?Thanks.

Currently leeching Hitman so not confirmed yet, but the 4.21 > 4.31 Key are all same. Theoretically if you edit the param.sfo to 4.21 or turn on the rebug mode to spoof the PS3 CFW to 4.30 it should work flawlessly. Every update I play work perfectly.

No it doesn't work like this. Most of what you said is true, except even though they are signed with the same keys, they are signed with a different header, that says "4.30" (basically like another param.sfo in the header), and thus the PS3 won't decrypt it.
So the easiest way is either to install Hitman 1.01 Patch, it downgrades it to 4.10, or unself EBOOT.BIN.

Thanks cyclonefr.I had the PS3 offline yesterday so it didn't prompt me for an update and the game gave me an error at launch.
Do you know why game patches/updates are always signed with lower FW keys?

Can someone tell me (or provide a link of) how multiman works with 4GB+ files divided in a fat32 external hdd?
I never used it before and I can't find any concrete information on the process and the performance.
Is it better than extracting a psarc file?

Deletes it when I'm done playing and keeps the original splitted files?
How do I go about splitting it? I've been searching more and read about split4g and 666## file format. Is that still how it's done?

no it doesnt delete it. You can delete it manually in multiman options though "Clear Caches".
Yes, 666XX is still the file format.

Someone mentioned earlier that Showtime supports NTFS drives. Trying to play a 13Gb file on an external NTFS formatted drive, showtime is not seeing it. Am I missing something?
Edit: Found a link, reading about creating a USB.CFG file and switching via MM's PFS thingy.If it's still as clunky as that (copying the file to internal) think I'll just skip it and find a smaller version.

Is there a simple step by step guide on how to upgrade your PS3 from 3.55 kmeaw to 4.31 whatever !?!
Also if I do upgrade to 4.?? will I be able to play my old copy games !?! If not I will stay where I am, cos haven't finished them yet and I have a 360 to play newer games

Most games have updates available that will replace your hacked eboots with legitimate ones, this is the easiest way to get your older but 3.56+ games working. 3.55 and lower will work OK because we never replaced the original eboots.
As for your other question, I just got the toggle QA package, ran it, then installed the 4.30 Rogero CFW from Recovery mode. But I'd advise you find a step by step as you may have a different model/method of having been on 3.55 in the first place. I know at least two different step by steps were posted earlier in this thread, one on Tortuga Cove, the other somewhere else. Read back a few pages.
