So, according to your honestly humble opinion, you really and truly think the game deserves the whooping 9.3-9.5/10 scores it's received?

Are you really such a blind and illogical fanboy?

SP campaign is 8/10, easy.
MP is better than MW2/BO1/MW3 for sure, can't give my final conclusion since i've only played around 3 hours. Zombies are fun as always. Very Happy
And the game is the best FPS of 2012, if you can name a better FPS released this year (PC) - you're welcome. Smile

Natural Selection 2, Dishonored, Counter Strike GO and Planetside 2

Can someone tell me how to make sweetFX works? Ii put the files into the game dir where the exe is but I don't see any changes in the game. I tried pause and nothing.

I usually use FXAA_tool , but I guess that is only for dx9 games and doesn't work for this game.

I can't never get sweetfx to work. thanks in advance!

Oh I know what they SAID, yet the proof is in the pudding ... the game is far from optimised. Or... hell.. if this is what they call optimised then...
Actually... not that bad so far Poker Face

+ high shadows, didn't experience one stutter on the first mission, let's see the rest of the game.
As for the game itself, well... it's seems certainly less dull than MoF Razz

We don't get stutter, we have framedrop and since you're running a couple of settings on low (or even off) and a 45fps cap, it's not really all that comparable Wink

True that.
But it's not like high DoF and SSAO will help the game look that better so I don't see any need to turn them on.

I'm just glad I'm not seeing that horrible BO performance... so far

@Toni: "advanced" DOF and SSAO are probably the most unoptimized effects here since they've been added last-minute to make the game look DX11-ready Cool Face

Why jump through all these hoops for a game having the shortest of the shortest campaigns which you won't remember in the next few days after completing it?

No hoops here; install, play. I've had no problems with the crack or anything, just remarking on the same cruddy performance as WaW and BO.

I had no problems either Smile, but ran into a crash 10 minutes ago (horse hurr mission) which wiped away all the checkpoints. I think it's very random

Since I trust you, and since we have the pretty much identical rig, what's your performance like ixi? Mine is sporadic at best, just like Shit Ops 1, I get high 40s to 60 .. and have to disable vsync otherwise it's locked at 30 due to double-buffering bullshit.

The framerate is very unstable, it oscillates between 80 and 40fps for no reason, but looks like setting the DOF to low instead of high improved the performance. At least there's no stuttering, which was BLOPS' main problem Razz

Dont have myself any issues, solid 60fps+ all times, and this is at 2560x1440. Using the ltest beta drivers? Runs on brothers 1055T @ 4,2Ghz + 660ti aswell solid 60 (1080p) tho.

So how is the MP in this game? Any interesting compared to Black Ops 1? I have only tried MW3 in the free weekend, which was horrible so I expect something decent from this otherwise I'll completely pass.

My little pros and cons I posted yesterday, dunno if you saw them:

Quote:
My short review about MP:

+ Maps are fun and colorful
+ Gameplay feels balanced
+ They really did a better job with the engine then they did in Black Ops 1
+ Objective play rewards very well, kill whoring not so much
+ no fire rate cap for pistols
+ Pick ten system

- Gun sounds are a not very good
- Almost no recoil with the gun
- Gameplay is a bit too fast for me if you come from Battlefield 3 or even Medal of Honor
- Map size is more like MW3 then BO, but on PC you are with 12 people instead of 18 people what Black Ops had

Overall a very enjoyable multiplayer, 10x better then MW3.

Well, it seems my system can hold a steady 60 fps so far, consider me impressed but only since this was the team behind the original game Laughing
So far it's the easiest FPS that I've ever EVER played, especially after MoF (although the difficulty in that one were the shit hit boxes and the teleporting enemies).

But that absolute lack of recoil... one can probably excuse it with the BUTITSTEHFIUTUR!1 but it still feels pretty lame.

Definitely more enjoyable than MoF so far(and what isn't, really ).

Dude please.. maps are horrible.. they have no clue how a MP map should be like. Where did BC2/Vietnam map designers go?Sad
Also gameplay is balanced? You balance recoil and damage of guns in a way that if your aim isnt perfect the enemy has time to turn the tides with superior aiming. Balance is non existant in this game, when you win just because you saw your enemy first then you know the balance is fucked up. this is multiplayer101 what the hell is wrong with you guys..

You are talking to a guy who was actually hyped about both mofw and blops2.

No wonder he likes it.

I appreciate that they brought something new to CoD instead of recycling year after year, like the lazy bastards at IW, but it's not enough. I'm just sick of these games. It's so fucking boring! Also, the shooting kind of feels like crap in this one. The weapons feel like toys. As for the performance... it runs pretty good, even maxed out, though I put the AA on off and left only the injector and FXAA. It seems to usually be around 60 fps, but it does go higher and lower sometimes. The first mission it ran a bit worse too, even though it looked worse in that mission too. The graphics are really incosistent. As some said before, it looks good sometimes, while other times it looks absolutely terrible.

As semi-expected, I get a black screen and that unhandled exception when I try to start the game with the repacked crackfix. I've Steam installed, but logged off as I don't want to come even close to risking my legit library over a 5-hour movie.

And I don't feel like changing my timezone to Hong Fucking Kong to work around a poor crack, considering the problems that can cause. Is the timezone fix that's floating around meant to remove the need to change that, or is it just a tool for lazy tools that changes timezones automagically and saves them a whopping two clicks?
