Every DLC is available for free anyway, so why bother anyway.

Wait, I think we're getting a bit confused KC; the DLC for the PS360 versions of BDtS is free in the trilogy, you just have to download it separately rather than it being on the disc. At least.. that's how it sounds on the BW site.

Quote:

On PC, Mass Effect will include Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle Station on disk.

On Xbox 360, Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle Station are not included with Mass Effect, however they are available as stand-alone downloads through Xbox LIVE.

If they were charging for them, I'm sure that would be stated - just like it is here;

Quote:

Will the original Mass Effect be available as a standalone game on PlayStation 3?

Yes, the original Mass Effect will be available as a standalone digital title through the PlayStation Network for $14.99. It will release the same day as the Mass Effect Trilogy on PlayStation 3.

Which specifically states availability and price. If EA release this and make 360 owners BUY the original game's DLC separately... that's just..... well, I guess that's EA Laughing

Yeah.. and the "Cerberus Network" and "Online Access" stuff that came free with the games in the first place. Ah well -- tis EA and EA will never stop being EA.

Strangely, as far as gameplay and setting goes, I prefer #3 to #2 ... shame the plot was hilaribad and the animation was lacklustre too. ME1, 3, 2 for me.. and 3 only beats 2 due to the expanded gameplay system.

whaaaaaat
3 have expanded gameplay?

it is a downright cover shooter compared to second game, which is what me1 tried to be.

anyway. The important thing is that Your fav ME is the first game. That's more than enough to prove You are a sane person Laughing

Huh? #2 is no less of a cover shooter.. the only difference is that #3 at least brought back some customisation Razz Everything else sucked though, especially the god awful ending and the fact that none of your decisions actually amounted to anything. Like I said; the only reason I put #3 over #2 is due to the better gameplay -- but neither of them hold a candle to #1 though, not even remotely close.

yeah #3 game play was a lot better in combat and customization than #2's repetitive combat to say the least , but then again #3 feels like it was rushed even though it was delayed , and in terms of story i think they went full retard with the whole Shepard is dead and reincarnated thing and now you have to gather a "special" team who also goes fubar in#3, why did they have to cater to new comers Crying or Very sad

Yup, I'm waiting for Omega and Citadel.. and then I'm doing a full run of the trilogy grinhurt

@fable

Aye! Combat and overall customisation and "feel" was a lot better in #3, that's one thing BioWhore did right. Shame they screwed up with the rest.

The trilogy came out yesterday for PC and 360, no sign of PS3 one yet.

On the whole? It's a magnificent series that suffers from the unfortunate side-effect of "must appeal to moar people!!!1"itis. Oh... and the awful slap-in-the-face ending(s). For me; ME1>ME3>ME2 Smile

The exact same thing. The first one to me is simply the best of three, and one of the best action-RPGs I've played.

To be honest I would enjoy playing through the trilogy again from scratch so I hope there is a release soon just for sheer ease of dling the iso demo's

Same here, though as I said above; I'm waiting on Omega and the rumoured Citadel.

I couldn't agree more! ME1 just had the best of everything except "graphicsomg" - which is why it's a shame ME1PC and ME2PC aren't getting the upgrade treatment that the PS3 versions are Sad

Wait, what? I had no idea that they're gonna uplift the games graphically. Sad It's a real shame.

It's nothing radical, just the lighting/shadowing has been updated. ME1/ME2 use the lighting model from ME3, but only the PS3 >_<

Yup Sad Though all griping aside, $60 for the trilogy is a very good deal. Just a shame it's an Origin thing and not Steam.

The Mass Effect 1 Xbox 360 UE3 build is terribly old and performed like shit on the 360. They have to use a newer more optimized version of UE3 for the PS3 version. Visially the benefits won't be super wow, and it's also possible some aspects will look worse, like it happened with ME2 PS3: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-masseffect2-face-off

Haha a great way to advertise their game. I always thought most of the CoD crowd doesn't play games like Mass Effect, DAO or such.

Check this out:

http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/368/index/14795358

Some guy edited and modded the Mass Effect 3 ending and got rid of the Catalyst sequence and made a somewhat more happy ending. Tested it some days ago, it's actually pretty good and it didn't left a sour taste in my mouth as the original ending did.

In response to reports of some PC copies of Black Ops 2 having a second disc for Mass Effect 2, Bioware is giving away Mass Effect Trilogy to those affected. As detailed on its blog, the Mass Effect developer will send free PC codes for the compendium to the first 50 people to send the developer a photo of the error.

It's a cheeky yet inspired response from BioWare, the developer calling the mix-up an "omen" it had to take heed of. "If the universe thinks that you should be playing Mass Effect right now," the post reads, "who are we to argue?"

Or maybe its an Omen what Mass Effect 4 is gonna be like Very Happy

So i'm going to start a playthrough again, and this time i want to try renegade. I did try it a little before, a few years ago. I seem to remember Shepard shouting like a whiny military sergeant. Is he like this through all games when playing renegade?
