Yes I know, I've been quite active on the sigames forums over the years. Alas I was never able to influence anything. I don't understand, I would gladly do the research for free - I even made a somewhat big presentation once, I mean not the stats of the players as I am biased and it wouldn't work. But height, weight, staff, jobs and a few sentence on each player to highlight any particular strength or weakness. There just no response and interest. Maybe my approach was wrong, but I just don't understand.

I always try both games every year, Fifa is still an arcade game compared to FM.

Apart from transfers and the match engine, Fifa is in fact a more in dept game in terms of available options for the players to develop his/her club.~
Extended club facility development
Extended stadium construction
Extended sponsor system
Extended player relationships, between themselves and with the manager
Extended training system, with more options
Extended youth development system, with mentors, training camps, etc
Extended contract options
Visualy it has more player faces, more club badges..
But that being said, i still find Fifa a far inferior simulation, due to 2 facts... the match engine is horrible, especialy the 3d engine... and the tranfer system is very unrealistic... if you have money you can buy almost any player regardless of your club standing.
Every year i try both games, and every year i end up playing only FM.

The points you name add nothing to simulation, those are just extra (and for me meaningless) options. It revolves all around the database and the ME, which both are leaps and bounds ahead in FM imo.

Depends on what people want from their football manager games. For example, my favorite football management game of all time, was USM (1 and 2) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultimate_Soccer_Manager the game was amazing because i had fun building up my team, the stadium, shops and even betting agaisnt my own team and bribing referees. It allowed me to do things that typical manager games didnt.
Thats the appeal of Fifa for some people, they like to take a club from the conference league, without any money or facilities and build it up to a power house club with an amazing stadium and team.
Football manager is perfect for what it intends to deliver, transfers, games and tactics, but thats not all football management entails, for those wanting to run everything in the club, every little detail... those insane Mourinho types, Fifa is the only game that allows it.

No! And it never will with the FM series, like the 2012 version. Any crack is not gonna work! Simple! And even if it did, your not gonna get any updates, which are critical to this series, database, or otherwise. So get your stingy little hands in your pocket and pay for something for once?

what are you talking about?? last year the crack at least made the game running fully. With this year's crack the game is just unplayable... Updates in the database can be covered with editor files, at least that works for me... We only need one working crack...

They last patch that was cracked was 12.0.4 and the final patch was 12.2.2. You might not mind that but I do.

Yes that is correct, they stopped cracking the updates.
Was a little annoying, but i dont mind that much, 12.0.4 worked fine, without any noticeable bugs

There are so many minor variables in this game, that you won't notice many of the bugs. Once you do see them though, you're pretty much fucked with a cracked release. If one game has absolutely critical updates, it's manager games.

Apparently you can "fool" de demo into continuing playing after the usual 6 month expiration date.
You need 2 things, first you need the pirated copy of the game, the skidrow one will work just fine. Then you need Steam installed and the FM 2013 demo as well.
1. Using the pirated copy, start a new game with the leagues and details you would like;
2. When you reach the "add manager" part, go to the FM menu and save your game without adding the manager;
3. Go to your save location and rename the save file extension to "QFM", example - game1.QFM
4. Start up de FM 2013 demo and when it asks you which quick start to use, point it to the save file you renamed;
5. Play the game normally and it should proceed beyond the lockout point with all the features you would expect from the full version.
Now, i haven't tested this beyond starting a new game and playing a couple of matches, so i can´t confirm you can indeed play the demo beyond January, although people online are claiming just that.
Another point, i don´t think they updated the demo, so any bugs and updates that SI has or will patch in the full version will probably not be available.
Anyways, that's it.

Just tested and works, not as good as the full version but better than the pirated so far.
