Blood Money is probably the best in the franchise if you want to start, and it invented the accident system as well.
Not sure how it can have things improved when compared to Blood Money when BM came after Contracts. |
Ah ok, i thought Contracts was after, got that impression from reading about them. I'll probably get BM then.

Shouldn't reviews be a bit more professional. The reviewer wrote "I will never be able to forgive the shitty checkpointing" |
Why? I never get this. I'd rather they write what they genuinely feel, if that's indeed what they genuinely think |
But it makes the writer sound like a whiny kid. How can you take this reviewer seriously? His entire review sounds like a biased rant

Someone should really get the name of this reviewer since "it was in PCGamer" doesn't mean much. Even the best mags/sites have shitty reviewers.

Pretty much same laughable, false, complaints
Of course this isn't proof he's not right this time but I wouldn't worry that much just yet. |
Same dude said the reviewer is called Tom Francis. http://www.pcgamer.com/author/pentadact/

So far, the games really have gotten better with each iteration. If you want to play only one Hitman game, play Blood Money. It is the easiest one in the sense that is has the best AI behaviour. Previous Hitman games were sometimes terribly frustrating when the AI sees through your disguise near the end of a level for no apparent reason.
...and as someone else already said, BM introduced "accidents" which were the most fun ways to eliminate the target.

Tbh I prefer checkpoints to saves for this type of game (and I'm a hardcore PC gamer, only played 1 console game in the last 10 years). Dishonored had a save system and there was a very strong temptation to reload whenever I got detected or anything went wrong. It basically ruined the game for me, since it's too "simple" to reload and the game becomes easy even at the highest difficulty.

I agree, I think that system worked perfectly. So far from what I've heard and read, this would be the only thing annoying me, though not enough to make me cancel my pre-order.

I remember that they were worried that only 20% of the players would finish the game, a few months back.
They shouldn't, cause the game (SP) is fooking short

Btw, i'm also very interested in the Contracts mode. Not because of the online, competition stuff but because of the replay value and variety it should offer.
