I'm using ABP+ Element Hiding Helper on FF and it gives me this to block: nfohump.com###headeradgaming
That wont leave any boxes on the header.

Best online shooter... of 2005
We're still using phpBB 2, you can't just put BF3 there..it would be out of the place. We're old-school in everything xD

What exactly is the purpose of it since it doesn't lead anywhere?

It's just a banner, where it should lead?

Jeez you guys are no fun. We are trying to start to cater to the gaming community with quality gaming servers and the first thing you do is look at a way to block it. The ad uses virtually no CPU (unlike other filthy ads) so that ain't an excuse.
Blocking everything we put up, even that we have very little ads, in truth none, then ranting about it isn't fair. This site doesn't run on earth-grown CPU's and disks, it isn't powered by geo-thermal energy and it doesn't have a satellite in orbit for free internets. We even strive to put up ads that are not from some other product, but we advertise our own, yet its always frowned upon. We have to cover running costs somehow.
All in all I think we have been very fair regarding these things. Just visit any other site. You are bombarded with ads.
Try to show some more support, it wont hurt.
BTW, the banner is clickable now.

The only reason I blocked it, mrt, is because it's animated. It's there, in the corner of every thread, in every page, flashing and pulsing away :\ I didn't block the old white NFOrce Hosting static banner.

Same here , not to mention that reading the flashy NFOrce logo brings back good memories, when I was still a filthy lurker

Same here. As long as ads are not animated and not sex related I am totally ok with them.

Not blocked it and it doesn't disturbed me. I clicked on it now and to my surprise it was actually clickable this time.

mrt, could you please create a non-Flash ad? There is no reason it should be animated, and it looks bad on mobile devices:

Ouch. Flash is really getting kicked to the curb. Too bad, its a quite powerful cross platform tool with a whole range of applicability. Its caused somewhat of a panic across the net with developers, and I feel for them. HTML5 isn't that mature to replace flash yet, and it shares the same plague that has been eating at CSS and JS for years...the widely varying support from browser to browser. Flash was a platform and you had exact knowledge in what was supported were and how. Humpf. CS6 offers a HTML5 export. I'll see if it digests it nicely or will it crap out.
For you guys and gal that is buggered by the flashing of the banner, I am not removing it, but I am open for suggestions. Give me a good solution how you would make it less "distracting" without deleting it, cutting out the page, moving to another state or taping over the monitor.

Hmm besides the satire, since your banner promotes something that seems to be not so bad (according to DXWarlock), how about you make it better looking? I have seen the last one and I blocked it. Whether it was flash or not, it LOOKED LIKE SHIT.
