The problem is not that it is unsigned -any chip/bios can run unsigned code- the problem is that the xbe is in debug mode that's a problem for some chips.

The problem is not with the chip but with the BIOS.
With .xbe patch I mean that you patch it yourself from debug (unsigned*) to retail.

*unsigned in this case means not signed by dev -> not unsigned code (aka downloaded/backuped copy). Meaning has not gone through the final stage where they set the .xbe to retail and starts printing it.

All new bioses will handle debug .xbe's. The problem lies in older versions of EvoX and X2 bioses.

Flash to Evox M8Plus (as has been stated already), X2 4981 (or newer if your chip can handle it), iND-bios 5003 or newer.
Be careful so that you flash with the right version of the bios so that it works on your xbox.
XboX 1.6/1.6b should use Evox M8Plus 1.6 bios.
Xbox 1.0 to 1.5 should use any X2/iND/EvoX M7/M8Plus bios that is not for 1.6.

I am sure many of you already know this but a warning is always good.

For those of you with the "A problem as occurred. Please restart your Xbox"

I installed SS to my hard drive and it ran fine no problems.
Then my son installed it on his xbox HD when he ran it the above message came up.

We compared our system settings and my region was DEFAULT and his was AUTO (this is on a pal xbox) he simply changed to DEFAULT and the game ran fine.

I hope this helps

If your TV can handle both NTSC and PAL you could try using Enigma Videomode Switch Disc and change the setting directly in the EEPROM.

But my bet is that the bios is either too old or a little crappy.
Go get a flashdisc or similar and a bios -> reflash. Another word of warning though:
You have totally 512kb flash on your DuoX2 wich is enough to fit X2 5035 bios. DO NOT flash with that bios as only a few has gotten it to work on the DuoX2. The rest has found themselves in the position where they need to find a reprogrammer for the chip and do it the hard way.
I suggest that you use any of the bioses from my previous post in 256kb rom-size.

As I said it is not the softmod or the chip itself that causes any problem.
Any new softmod will have atleast EvoX M8Plus that will load with the bios loader upon boot. Your chip can be an Xecuter3 if you want, but if the bios sucks it won't be any good.

So go get a good bios damnit!

THe game for online via system link (kia) works great. Seems all the problems have been worked out from the previous GR2. LOad times in between games are quick. Havent had an issue of lag at all.

Smooth as can be.

FOr those having problems I Did a little settings changes. I noticed on mine if it had debug turned on it would not work. BUt with it turned off it will work. Now this is with my system and dont know what would happen with you other guys system. My box is NTSC.
