I finished chapter 11 and quit the game. When I continued and loaded chapter 12, I noticed that the game skipped a story segment that takes place after chapter 11 in your apartment. Anyone can tell me what happened?

Damn, the ending was a complete mindfuck Laughing

Really loved the game, much more than I imagined I would. Very nerve-racking at times but the fantastic music made me bear even the most humiliating deaths. We need more games like this, pure old-school fun with no compromises. 9/10

You probably need to collect all letters of the "puzzle" and reconstruct the password.

which level are you missing a letter from? you can find out by selecting a chapter, and looking beneath your score. there will be a mask and a box. if the box is purple, you got the letter from that level. if it is black, you did not. just go to the level with the black box and look around for the letter. equipping the owl mask will make it stand out more. good luck!

So it seems there's a letter hidden in some levels. Grab them all and you'll unlock the secret ending.

I think it's a good sign for the future of games similar to Hotline Miami. Be they either indie, or just old-school like, as opposed to the derpertification of most AAA games.

What makes this game harder (ie: frustrating) than it should be is how unreliable the weapons are, especially when throwing & doors. Sometimes it goes right through them, or sometimes a shotgun only kills 1 of 2 when up close.

The variety in weapons, tactics and story make it addicting though.

Doors are the ones with most hilarious outcome, waiting for the enemies to come and then smashing them senseless into the ground has always its charm Laughing But yeah, everything is random (even the AI patterns) which is frustrating.. but also provides more variety since it's almost impossible to play stages in the same way. Weapons missing their target? Just lock your aim with a middle-click of the mouse on top of your target's head. Smile

when things get too crazy its not an option to simply middle click and shoot each guy though. i find myself drawn to a more chaotic style of play and that lends itself to missing a lot of shots and getting killed for it. i am kind of looking forward to the possible gamepad support they mentioned. playing this as a twin stick shooter would be a lot more conducive to my style i think.

And I... don't like it. Played to about 5th level and uninstalled. Don't have the patience for dying all the time and shooting mechanics are too unforgivable. It bores me. Well it's not for me just like elder scrolls games.

Finished the game last night.. absolutely loved all of it, well, exept for that final boss.. that was just poorly designed.

But all in all, one of the most addicting games of 2012 for me Smile Can't wait to see some DLC or sequel.

Oh man I just wanted to chime in, finally got around to playing it today, just wanted to give it a quick spin... played it through in one sitting, what an awesome game. A PC game hasn't made me this tensed up, concentrated and constantly swearing in a long long time. And even though I died constantly it was never really unfair-ragequit inducing.

I hope there is more content in the pipes for this, it was just excellent. Might buy it on steam and go for the achievements.

Indeed! Or even, a co-op mode? A 2-player co-op mode with scenarios featuring a lot more enemies/bigger areas could be incredibly fun, I think Very Happy

Absolutely Smile. Although I already predict constant rage bursts and cursing due to your partner's imperfect timing which screws up everything xD
