Don't care about high/max, when I play an online shooter I go for lower settings to get more FPS.
Ok, I don't necessarily mean pure graphics though. CPU affects mostly viewing distance, ambient occlusion, sound quality. Higher view distances, which are also important in gameplay, also affect the FPS significantly in my experience. (There was a period in beta when I couldn't properly bomb because the view distances for air vehicles had been lowered, for example)

This is very true. Playing PS2 with low details is like having a handicap gameplay-wise, since it's way more difficult to spot enemies, especially when flying. It's not like a COD game where low and high are the same since the map is 20m^2
how do youi join a friend ? fucking game, friend is in squad but seems to be in another map completely and theres no join friend button. Im in Esamir and hes in indar same server and all, im really clueless and theres seems to be no info about it at all

At the warpgate where you start first, you can go up (in the same room) and there you will find a station (looks like a globe) where you can travel to the other continent!
You can find the icon for the globe at the minimap too...

Played this for a bit last night after finally getting an invite, feels good. Holy crap at the huge battles, that alone was brilliant. It's a little overwhelming graphically speaking though, very hard to make out your targets, especially when there's a lot of shit going on
Nice screens! I haven't played in few weeks because of my schedule (I can't wait for the servers to be up 24 hours), so I'm suffering from withdrawal. Glad to hear performance and latency is better. I hope they can pull of a smooth release.
I still haven't picked a "main" faction yet. I like the look of the NC's vehicles and guns the best, but the TR stuff isn't too bad. Not a fan of the Vanu. NC guns feel solid, too, but the TR fire rate is kind of nice in buildings.
Can't wait for 24 hour servers so I can play this baby more than 20 minutes at a time.
Just got out of it. I gave it another try. The game got better, especially technically, but I'm still not convinced by it. It just feels wrong and cheap to me... don't even know if that's what I feel about it, since I don't even know how to describe it.
It's a bit rough of course but the scale is so big that I can easily forgive any slight imperfections/hit detection problems. Attacking a base with a horde of 6-7 tanks ready to destroy everything is really priceless and epic.
This game is basically the complete opposite of Call of Duty, and this is more than enough to deserve my praises.
