hi there people i am new here as u can probably see from my post count but wondering if anyone has played both brian lara 2005 and ea cricket 2005, and if u could tell me which is better, as i have got ea cricket 2005 and i think its rubbish too many cheap wickets.......anyone tell me if brian lara is worth getting or is it worse to play cuz i know over the years lara cricket has been good to play.

Lara is the best of the bunch. Cricket 2005 by EASports does have it's good points, but in much the same way FIFA 2005 has it's good points over Pro Evolution Soccer. Thing is overall gameplay is much better in both Lara and PES.
Seems that Cricket fans themselves agree with Lara being the better of the two, although it is a bit 'arcadey' for lack of a better term.

I would say go for Lara too. The game is definitely more arcadeish with its gameplay and cartoonish players but plays well. Also the difficulty scales pretty well with Lara. So the village mode is a runfest while in test mode, runs are difficult to come by.

Having played both Lara wins hands down.
I'm really getting sick of EA and their attituted towards "Minor" sports, if your not going to produce a good game then let someone else have the naming rights or at least share the naming rights with other game publishers so we dont have to put up with garbage names in a game.

hey slider...if u r looking for a patch that can change the player names to real ones in exibition modes in BLC....then its already out. go to www.planetcricket.net . u can download the patches.

yeah! back to the topic......BRIAN LARA CRICKET 2005 is SOO FUN... CK2005 is crap. I have both and BLC is the BEST.
