If there's a cheap enough alternative, I might buy it (I've had good times with other CoD-games with a bunch of friends, I can't see why this would be any different). They both have better SP campaigns than BF3, easily.

MP is total shit though, MW3 definitely and BO1 probably(haven't tried it yet).

Don't get me wrong - i want to see Call of Duty franchise back to its roots too.
World War II scenarios are better than modern time/future stories.

But Call of Duty is still one of the best multiplatform FPS franchise at the moment.
And while they've changed too many things (compared to CoD 1/2/MW/WaW), the gameplay core is still the same.
