That was one of my early guesses as it writes to C:\ProgramData thus why I asked about UAC and permissions but it should have prompted for a account elevation warning if enabled so it can't be that.

Could the problem be that the games fails to write them and crashes?

Crashes here too (I probably should have tried the game earlier.) so it's something different from that other game (Which works fine here.) maybe crack related?

I was just expecting it to be a little more classic, closer to real-life hunting. Something along the lines of the game Trophy Hunter 2003, which remains my favorite hunting game. Sad

Did you install it right?

C:\Games\HuntingExpedition

In that folder (Or what you might have called it and where you installed it.) there should be a Mod folder and a Bin folder.

That dll10r file might be if you have put gamedll10r.dll file in the wrong location, it goes under C:\Games\HuntingExpedition\Mod\CSA2\PC

Rest of the files for the fix (Which is the same files as the original release.) goes under C:\Games\HuntingExpedition\Bin
(buddha.dll, skidrow.ini, steam_client.dll, csa2_main.exe, steam_api.dll and I think there was another file, possibly CommonDll10r.dll as well.)

for Windows 8 you need to import winderlands8.dll from Borderlands win8 fix into steamapi.dll from fix

During the crashing I had before the fix was released I had to adjust console.cfg (Unsure if the name is from console hardware or a console command prompt.) to set resolution and such.

C:\Games\HuntingExpedition\Mod\CSA2\PC\Cfg\console.cfg

Should be fairly self-explanatory.
(Dangerous Hunts uses a different engine and can't be tweaked as far as I'm aware, this game can though.)
