Just started playing PlanetSide 2 beta last night. Very impressed by the sheer scale and amount of dudes you play with and fight against. However a bit confused by what you actually are supposed to do. Most of the time I've spawned at my factions spawnpoint, jumped in a ship and got transported to basically a fuckfest of bullets and explosions. Am I doing something wrong or is that basically the jist of the game?

Other than that just finished Borderlands 2 and loved it. All I can say is that it's more Borderlands and I approve.

hitman 2 is awesome. I prefer the mission settings in the first one. Lee hong assasination is among the best missions in the whole series.

the second game has a lot more refined gameplay though. you should play hitman 3 if you haven't as well. Smile it has a lot of variety and gameplay advances from hitman 2.

Nothing really... just short (usually) sessions of these from time to time: Torchlight II, Borderlands 2, Worms Revolution and Terraria. Still waiting for a crack for Of Orcs and Men. Sad

The essence of the game is basically to take as much territory as possible as each "hex" you conquer gives you additional resources (the icons with a counter at the bottom left of the screen). You need the resources for spawning vehicles, weapons, attachments, upgrades to your gear, etc. So, flying with a crew to a bullet fuckfest is essential part of it as long as it doesn't feel like a stalemate , in which case you and your group would be better off choosing a different facility to attack.

Sure, I'd like to play Hitman Contracts, though is too bad it wasn't available on Steam when I bought the pack (neither is now). If I find an iso demo I'll try iy, otherwise I'll just go directly to Blood Money so I get ready for Absolution.

Thanks for that bit of info. By the sounds of it I'd be better off going somewhere else as the hex of territory was going from us to them and then back to us an awful lot. Cheers.

@barash: I can feel your pain, the same thing happened to me too a couple of months ago because of a nasty virus. So much rage Laughing

I'm still alternating my numerous playthroughs (Dishonored, Borderlands 2, Sleeping Dogs), not to mention all the sports/racing/multiplayer games, but first I need to solve LA Noire's cases. It's the top priority and det. Roy Earle is losing his patience. Razz

Great game though, surely one of the most atmospheric that I have ever played, and the excellent technology behind the animations makes me 'wow' every time. It has flaws of course, but it's an incredibly solid adventure/detective game.

I'm perfectly normal but given the chronic lack of time I'm desperately trying to play them all anyway and developed some kind of weird schizophrenia Laughing

Dishonored... biggest surprise of the year for me who didn't even know anything about it until it was released and people yapped about how good it was. And even then I was skeptical but decided to check it out (with SweetFX 1.3 which I tweaked after seeing how horrible it looked in default).

Almost best of 2012.

Awesome game, such a shame there's nothing else to it Sad The Coldstrike campaign addon was great fun... and that's it. Nothing else. Such a wasted opportunity to release regular comicbook-esque expansions Sad

For me I'm mostly playing ETS2, Viking Battle for Asgard and a bunch of other must-catch-up-on titles, desperately trying to clear off a quickly growing backlog.

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Yeah, it's a brilliant game, but as I said in the game's thread, I've got one problem with it: those damn time limits. I kind of got used to them by now though. Also, I just died in the last mission at the boss battle when he was almost dead... fuckfuckfuck!!!

I almost always can't finish games that I enjoy because I don't want them to end, but whenever I decided to go back at later date to finish them up, I usually already forgot how to control the character and what I was up to. So there are still tons of games installed on my computer which are only half finished. I really hate myself for this but I can't help Laughing

I couldn't have said it better myself. It's exactly the same for me Laughing
Finishing a game is almost like losing part of your heart, you don't want that to happen, ever.
It's weird because with TV series and other forms of entertainment that doesn't happen. At least I know that I'm not alone!

(I still manage to finish them though, after weeks or even months of delay)
