How much did it cost you Stormwolf? 50 euro for a 5-pack? Laughing They're so expensive here (online).

Luckily enough i know of a chinese shop here where they sell that brand kind of cheap, they have all variations from that brand it seems like, tried quite a few. Though the price went up recently.

It's obviously not the most healthy food, but sometimes you got to treat yourself with some spicy hot ramen Smile

Maybe it's cheaper to just get:

https://www.amazon.se/SAMYANG-kryddig-kyckling-Buldak-200ml/dp/B07THBV36D/ref=sr_1_15

though... then just purchase those ramen packs which costs less than one euro.

I paid 22 Euro including shipping. I bought it out of curiosity though, but x2 is my go to noodle as its a comfy burn

These are the ones I usually get:

But I will try the 3X spicy and see if I'm among distinguished gentleramen

Quote:
Samyang 3x Hot Chicken Flavour Ramen (5 Pack) 700g
Samyang Carbonara Hot Chicken Ramen (5 Pack) 650g

Never seen those before. I'll try them if i find then Cool

For a pussy version that tastes brilliant for x2 and x3. fry some cloves of garlic, onion and bacon in oil. Melt a bit of butter and add cream and mix the samyang sauce in. Then add parmesan cheese in the mix and stirr in the noodles and top it with more parmesan when plated. Just add as much as you want of everything but the cream really. Too much garlic can kill it too i guess.
Generally mild with a tiny sting, but tastes bloody great.

I was curious

I added chicken and an egg. I licked the fork I used to stir it with when it was ready. It tasted like satan's anus, but I continued. I made it about 5 mouthfuls before throwing it in the bin and then trying to figure out how to dowse the fire that enveloped my lips.

Damn, now I'm salivating just thinking of that. Unfortunately I can't eat noodles anymore since I've developed gluten intolerans (colon swells up, stops working and it just sucks for a few days until it's out of the system).

Instead I regularly buy some hot hot sauces. This is being delivered tomorrow:

1 st Chilikarameller - Blåbär Reaper
1 st Huhu Diablo - Karma Sauce
1 st Naga Hot Sauce - Hot Headz
1 st Trinidad Scorpion Hot Sauce - Hot Headz

Yeah, I'm a hot head.

Haha, love to see you guys trying Buldak out ! Bunch of hipsters Razz
Also looks like you're getting the French (edit: maybe Canadian tho) imports The Curry Chicken and Carbonara are my favourite ones, especially the latter, with an egg on top (some extra bacon or similar if you need some meat) it's a top-notch quick comfort meal.

Now I'm kinda used to it, I can only stomach half, at most 3/4 the dosage on the 3x stuff though ! I will learn to like it though, the Chinese hotpot spicy oils are usually just as spicy, if not spicier the longer you soak stuff in it, and I love them.. I had to up my spiciness tolerance a long time ago thanks to my SO Very Happy There's also a pride that comes with asking for the spicy option at restaurants - "Are you really sure about this? -Hell yeah". Cool

I guess liking spicy food comes with age, looking at us all... Laughing Mr. Green

Glad you enjoyed it Inter ! Mr. Green Carbonara is some of my favourite, if not my very favourite pasta recipe so this was a match made in heaven for me Razz
It's like 1/2 the dosage of the regular 1x/regular spicy Buldak Noddles if I recall correctly...

... close enough, it's even more than half ! Razz

Can you eat the full dosage of the 3x Storm ? Damn !

My GF apparently bought those in Leipzig and tried it.
She said it was "impossible to eat", and that you basically couldn't taste anything.
Like Inter, she just threw it out.

I'll be at her place in 9 days, so I know where to buy and try it.
Let's see if I can handle the heat (spoiler: I more than probably won't be able to Very Happy )

And, weirdo-time: not in excess, but I also enjoy (non-sexually, it doesn't arouse me) having my bronze ring "feeling the spice" on the way out.

Man I need to try some of these. I love ramen, but here in the US 95% of it in stores, unless you goto ethnic/special store is that Maruchan stuff:

I eat the hell out of that. I grew a taste for it during my state sponsored vacation was it was cheap on the commissary, and filled you up the most.
I buy it by the 24 pack now at home:

But all these linked in here look delicious, and I love spicy food. The spicy Maruchan options, to me, are all crap. They are spicy-ish sure. But taste...bad, for actual flavor other than spicy.

@DX I obviously never tried them, but the packaging makes them look like your run-of-the-mill, vanilla ramen packages.

Are they really good? Because, if I have some such package that I know to be disappointing, like other people said, you just pimp it up: an egg, bacon, extra freshly-chopped veggies, etc...

They basically just provide the carb and a tasty broth, and you supplement it your way.

Is there some truth to this? Sure, it's not healthy by any means, but is it actually terrible for you health?

They are the most basic of ramen. If it was a PC case, it would be a beige 1997 office PC Smile

They are good, if you like the flavor of cheap but savory chicken bouillon. I usually dont like actual chicken (it tastes like nothing to me) but I love chicken broth made with this:

Now it's not spicy, or a complex flavor or anything. Its pure cheap ramen noodles with roasted 'chicken' flavor.
Toss the pack of the 'mystery chicken powder' that comes with it in, add a teaspoon of that stuff and I can eat it everyday if it wasnt so damn unhealthy.

It tastes good in that: It tastes good like cheap things 'do'. Like trying really hard to not taste AS cheap as it is, and, kinda..doing it, while somehow also not trying at all to hide how cheap it.
if that makes sense at all. Like McDonald's small burger doesn't taste like a good burger or even like an actual burger, but it cost $2 and I want it to taste like a $2 mass produced burger..because its sooo good at tasting exactly like that.

Kinda, but the MASSIVE amount of salt/Sodium and lacking in any key nutrients is far more bad for you if you eat a lot of them, compared to the TBHQ they mist on it to preserve it.(you probably get more TBHQ from your day overall eating everything else not homemade with fresh ingredients, than the pack of ramen gives you)

ramen is no food for sure. Def wouldn't consider it a meal, more like a snack. You can probably live off it if you're 19-22 but at that age you'll be ok eating cardboard too.

Oh yea, 18-20 I ate the worst food choices.
From 16-18 I ate nearly nothing else BUT pizza hut pizza for a diet, since I worked there as a cook and was poor as fuck.
Toss a pizza in the oven with whatever you wanted on it all hush-hush. It comes out, no one can find an order for it so manager says "Shit, let's wait and see if someone calls missing a pizza" 30 minutes later tells us we can have it, since they dont know where it went.

It's garbage by itself, that's why I add extra ingredients. So while you're eating shit, you're still getting protein etc. I thought everyone did this, I guess not?

I only started after seeing so many people do it in Korean TV shows Laughing
