But yeah, theorically Sony is screwed, that never changed. But, if I were them, I would fix the exploit. OBviously if you were them, you would let it go, so be it.
Finally, I thought you would be smarter than digging old posts I did : sure thing, I know the PS3 better today than in 2010/2011... Are you surprised ? |

I actually clarified what I meant about the OFW and lots of older posts I posted.
you are incorrect thinking I thought Sony won't do anything,no,I might be Optimistic person,but I'm not that naive,after Sony chased after the hackers and try to lock thing back again,it's obvious they will do their best,but,there is limits what they can do,and what us,sadly,no one is "god" here.

MM is the only once i've been using. So i guess i COULD go ahead. If the rest of the homebrew is emulator stuff, i can play that on my pc.
Edit: ohh, and my brother wants to downgrade his. His ps3 is very old, but currently on newest firmware. Is it downgradable? think i heard something about what matters is what fw it had when you got it.
2nd edit: if that rebug firmware you mentioned is the only way to get on PSN then i'm waiting right with you. I'd love to get psn working.

all old models that been upgraded from 3.55- can be downgraded

if it came from factory with fw 3.55 or lower it can be downgraded.

ATTENTION: This CFW doesn't have LV1 checks disabled and can't be installed on Downgraded PS3 consoles unless you have Dehashed/Reset Syscon Properly
and
v1.00 Info
- This is a 4.21CFW spoofed to version 4.25 to allow SEN access
- It can be used as a normal System Update from any 3.55 OFW/CFW/MFW
- It was tested using a hardware flasher and no bricks or any problems at all were encountered
- It can run games signed with Keys up to version 4.21 without any Eboot/Sprx patching needed
- Games must be loaded from Disc Icon (with Original game in BD) and not from app_home
- Current 3.55 homebrew application can't be loaded on this CFW, applications must be re-signed properly.
You need to already be on 3.55 to install this. Installing from any firmware other than 3.55 will simply not work

awwm did this and now my psn games wont run xD...would that be fixable with .pkg files maybe?
as things like GOW - chains of olympus, and HOTD4 wont run now.

Those fall under the same category as homebrew, pretty much anything that had EBOOT modifications done will need to be resigned correctly, so EBOOT "cracks/fixes" for PSN titles will also need to be resigned. |
Ah that makes sense, i'll keep them on there untill they start popping up then, didn't really want to have to grab them all again.
*hopes for umbrella chronicles HD to rear its ugly head*
my impatience got the better of me this time round.
