You will probably lose that toenail. Something similar happened to me, toenail grew discolored/ridged etc all sorts of ugly. Eventually fell off and regrew the same way, so I had to have it removed at the doctors, and they also put a chemical on the nail bed to prevent the nail from ever growing again.

My little toe experienced a similar type of trauma (someone stepped on it during a football match) and it fell of and regrew. Like 20 times or so over a perood of some years...

Just it's nail not the toe itself 
Every time it regrew some months later it fell of just to reveal that a new one formed itself just under it
