Nice got the fix.

Naw man nothing like that here at all.
I did get a change log upon starting the game, and new boots were displayed.

That means we're ok without blocking the exes in our windows firewall? I did that following the RLD crack instructions.

In cracked PES2012 if you didn't block the executable game responded with an irreversible error in next launch.PES2013 runs fine without blocking the exe but I recommend to firewall it.You never know.

I usually skip that part as I dont got any firewall other than my router.
You can always unplug internet if really needed.

Thats probably why it will timeout on your end.

Thanks for your replies.

@NoLiMiTSoLDieR the problem is the game doesn't let you skip it. It tries to connect before even reaching the main menu after you launch the game, and it appears that started happening to me only after I installed the update. I tried without the firewall blocking and it connected and got all the pending news and patch details, etc. The next time I launched it apparently connected but went directly to the main menu. So far no problems.

The PESEdit.com 2013 Patch is always a good one. It's on the 2.1 version at the moment. Smile

Yep, besides full up-to-date Premiere League/Liga Sagres/Bundesliga teams and kits it also adds an optional Liga Argentina with all the teams/kits and even stadiums.

after playing this for a few days, I suddenly enjoy football games again. last time this was during PES 1/2 era Smile

its definitely much better then the last 3 PES games I played where the AI would go into "animation mode" where yhou could do nothing but watch them score in ridiculous ways.

the cpu players on your team are still a bit stupid and cost me some bad goals. sometimes you just don't have time to switch that fast, or the game switches to the wrong player and in the meantime your CPU controlled player either runs in the wrong direction, opening up your defense completely or the ball passes through him or some ridiculous thing like that.

the new training taught me a lot, and except a few of the dribble moves, everything is intuitive to pull off. some are jsut ridiculous, require holding rt+rb at the same time which is just stupid on the x360 derppad. not very practical. and the move where you need to press the right analog stick and hold it presed and then move it to do a manual run while at the same time controling your active guy with the left analog.... just breaks my fingers Laughing

I am so rusty though, still trying to win my first champions league on regular Embarassed
and after that there are 3 more difficulty settings ahead.

nice to enjoy a sports game after around a decade of avoiding them at all cost Smile

I completely agree about the AI, it's very good. Sadly FIFA offline isn't remotely as entertaining as PES, since it has flawed and predictable AI patterns. The multiplayer on the other hand is a pure blast. Even with the terrible (sigh) animations, PES is probably the better choice for someone who just wants to enjoy his single player football game

Don't get me wrong I too think that FIFA is the better game overall, it's just the AI which sucks..a lot. Razz The rest is excellent. Smile

@Drowning_witch

if you think the AI doesn't cheat then try playing on "Top player", he's gonna rape your ass Laughing

it's all fun though, after like the 3rd try i managed to beat Barca with new castle, messi is OP Razz

well yeah they do cheat, but in the 2010 and 2011 they would go into 5 minute animations where you couldn't even break their legs. it was like watching a cutscene. now at least it seems you have a chance.

I don't think i'll ever be good enough for top player difficulty. the amount of button combos this game has humbles my gamepad skills Laughing

I lost to barca today in champions league quarter finals on regular difficulty. I was Dinamo Zagreb, lost 2:1 away, and then 2:2 home. both games I was winning too Sad

I hope to be able to play on proffesional at least at some point Very Happy

defense is killing me. it just seems to me that my defense is always standing too high up, so against top teams, all they do is make a forward pass and outrun me at around 30m from my goal and then its 1v1 lottery Sad

just forget about the damn combos, i don't dribble at all and i am doing fine, also when defending try to use the hold up button (RT) on the 360 pad so you can slow them down....don't know about KB buttons though.

Do you play with controller on SEMI-Assisted?
If not thats the first thing you need to change, it prevents auto switching when defending.
More control, yourself can close the gaps and use AI (with pressure button) to stay close on the ball.

i started playing better. i realized its better to control a guy further back in defense and let the ai go for the guy with the ball. that prevents them from getting the super acurate passes that were killing me before.

it works on everyone but barca.. they just beat me in chamnpions league semis Sad

3:1 and 3:3.

no matter how well i cover a player they wiggle past me lol. i am playing with a bad team though. dinamo zgb just can't keep up with barca for 90 min.

Seems that 2014 will use a new engine (fox engine anyone? probably not) , also apparently snow will make a comeback.

@JonMurphy_PES

In Japan next week to check on the new engine. Today we've got training sessions with Ronaldo. Pics to follow #CR7 #PES

Some very interesting concepts developing. New engine is going to spring some surprises! #pes

It was about time, they should have dropped the old engine at least 3-4 years ago (when they realized that it couldn't bring anything good on the table). Sales suffered of course, and this is almost their last chance to redeem themselves. I hope they don't screw this up, we need competition since Fifa is miles far from being perfect.

I thought this needed a shout out - I have been a FIFA man for 3 years now after playing PES for most of my teens and 20's.. A community patch was released on Wednesday called PESJP Version 3 - it supports the latest 1.3 update and has kit server (all correct kits), league server, J League, Chants , stadium server, HD graphics swell as the game play tool. Its all made by jenkey who is well known on the PES scene...it truly is a great piece of work and well worth downloading. search for PESJP V 3 and you will find it easily there is also a torrent knocking about that i managed to get that includes the chant addon...I'm also using the camera mod and FIFA commentary patch..worth checking out if your a fan

You should get the patch by pesedit. The current version is 4.1. It adds over 800 faces, new season kits, stadiums, leagues like Bundesliga, etc. It's a must have.
