Strange... Made .svf file on installed POSTMORTEM release and then checked the files in the folder where i have FLT + FLTDOX Update 1 + SKIDROW Update 2-5.

http://i.imgur.com/Dn2ga.png

As everyone can see except language files there is only this install.vdf file missing, POSTMORTEM.ini and Launcher.exe
It's probably stupid idea, but someone can try to delete SKIDROW.ini and put those missing files and try if it works.

Shouldn't matter, installscript.vdf is the install routine Steam checks against on first launch, open it in notepad and you should see it as plain text with what redistibutables to launch and from where and if it has to set any registry paths.

postmortem.ini and skidrow.ini are the same thing but with different group names, settings for their Steam "emulator" such as defining user name and application id (Like steam_appid.txt does, sort-of.) and what else there might be.

launcher is just a extra tool for setting other localizations. Smile

Yeah i know all that, but that's the difference and BLuNT318 says POSTMORTEM works fine. Maybe as crack is made for all those files it works when you have them all (probably language included)

Woot ?
If they start to support their games like this, I might actually buy them again.

It's a psychological strategy : release a game that is more broken than usual, and then make >6 (useless?) patches in order to make people think that the developers really care this time. Cool Face

Today sees patch #6 available on Steam for PC versions of F1 2012.

This update addresses the following issues:

• Made Pro level AI quicker so that the time gap to Legendary AI is smaller. We’re keen to get community feedback on this change.
• Fixed the weather system so that
• Cars will no longer start the race on the wrong tyres.
• Cars will need to change to intermediate tyres when it has been raining with sufficient intensity.
• Fixed a crash in Co-Op when disconnecting on the results screens.
• Fixed an issue where the point’s totals on the Constructors Championship table were incorrectly doubled.
• Medals awarded in season challenge now update the player statistics correctly.

We are working on other issues you have reported via the forums, Facebook and Twitter and are working to fix them as quickly as possible. In the meantime, please note that we are still collecting feedback via our Technical Assistance forums and do encourage you to post your issues there being sure to include as much information as possible.

Thanks for your continued feedback!

There's a lot of anarchy with releases lately, the nukers don't nuke anymore and groups release stuff with no criteria whatsoever, it's all completely random xD

The postmortem rls is just the shitrow rls with the bugged 2-5 (but its really 2-4) patch applied. Hence the same problems that "some" are having with it.

Yes we know this... anything else to add? Patches 2-4 work with this release, that is why I am using Postmortem's... We already talked about patch 5 not working or even included in Postmortem's

Today sees patch #7 available on Steam for PC versions of F1 2012.

This update addresses the following issues:

• Added two new options for PC users to improve voice communications.
1. Added a Push To Talk option. This can be turned on in the Audio Options (My F1 -> Audio) and is bound to T by default. The key used can be edited in My F1 -> Driving Controls -> View / Customise Profile.
2. Added a Disable All Voice Comms option. This can be turned on in the Audio Options (My F1 -> Audio) and will disable all outgoing and incoming voice communication.
• Fixed an issue where the track could become wet without any rain being visible.
• Rebalanced engine wear so it will go below 99% during a season.

We are working on other issues you have reported via the forums, Facebook and Twitter and are working to fix them as quickly as possible. In the meantime, please note that we are still collecting feedback via our Technical Assistance forums and do encourage you to post your issues there being sure to include as much information as possible.

Nope, I think they're all waiting for Codemasters to release all the patches (7 so far) to fix their alpha product.

Sure as hell they will not solve their bugs. Weather system is totally broken, good luck with that.

Aaaand I dont think we will se update from Skidrow or Fairlight. Fairlight does not give a shit about updates and Skidrow didnt release the game, so why would they bother with (working) updates...

FLT were the first to update the game.Right now there is no point of releasing a fix.Codemasters try to fix their patches with new patches. It's ridiculous.

Today (17.10.) sees patch #8 available on Steam for PC versions of F1 2012.

This update addresses the following issues:

Added an option to turn the Parc Ferme rules on or off in online Custom Race, Co-Op and LAN games. This option can be found within the Simulation Settings and defaults to on. Setting this to off will allow players to set up their cars in Qualifying sessions and will also allow players who join in progress during qualifying to edit their car setup before the race.
Fixed an exploit in One Shot Qualifying where users could post impossibly quick lap times.
We’re continuing to investigate the issue of saves being shown as corrupt after being restored from the cloud. For now our advice would be to always choose to keep your local save if there is a mismatch.
